Vehicle Detail

1998 Honda Goldwing SE with Voyager Trike Kit & fold up Trailer. It is black and comes with the voyager trike kit installed. This was my fathers. It has 29,000 miles and is the 1500 engine. I brought down from Ohio about 2 months ago; It had been stored inside garage and was not ridden at all for the past 3 years, always covered; I changed all fluids, oil, air and fuel filter and Soaked / cleaned carbs with ‘yamaha carb cleaner’ installed new battery, it starts instantly, runs smooth and sounds great. I’m not sure what is included on the Goldwing SE standard and what is extra…but it seems to have a bit more chrome around the trunk and saddlebags than other ones I’ve seen. It also has an electric windshield that moves up and down about 8”. The Voyager trike kit comes off with two big bolts that mounts to a belly plate. Back of the trike system has shocks installed and a trailer hitch mounted to the frame. I took it off to service the rear end oil but only rode it with it on. It has cruise, AM / FM Cassette; some powerlet outlets for driver and passenger, has a 3 switch ‘accessory control’ mounted above the brake reservoir to power whatever options you add. Lots of lights up front; add on horns (very loud); everything works. It has the stock on board air compressor to adjust rear shocks and also the accessory air hose to utilize the on board air compressor to fill up tires etc. It also comes with a headphone/speaker set with a plug in that mounts to the factory Honda plug (intercom?); it is still in the box. Has new front speakers that dad had bought but did not install and some chrome covers that fit over the stock (black) speaker grills; also not installed. There are also 2 ‘bell’ helmets both Large that appear never to have been worn. ( one black, one sort of red / white / black swirl. Comes with a tank bag that seems to be made for it and mounts above the radio controls and sort of lifts out of the way but stays attached. Cover included to cover the entire trike set up. Trunk and two side bags have a nice’Goldwing’ carpet set included. I’ve ridden it about 200 miles. It gets 35MPG with about ½ of that highway and with the trike kit installed. There is no damage to the bike, it shines up nice; trike is black also with chrome wheels. I have the owner’s manual and the big binder Honda service manual as well as the voyage install manual. It was my first ride on a trike and cornering is not like a standard bike. I have a small cruiser. I researched a bit on the trike handling and recommendation is that a rake kit is installed to make the steering easier. This does not have a rake kit. You have to take corners a lot slower and much more effort put into the turn with shoulders / arms. Included is a foldup motorcycle trailer. It is hinged behind the wheels and sort of folds up and moves around on 3 casters. This is a dual cycle trailer with a 2000 Lb weight limit. Has 2” ball. It will hold two full dressed cruisers. It has the two rails installed with the auto ‘chock’ front wheel locks. I installed a center chock for the trike and it will pull the trike no problem. (Goldwings weigh about 850lbs… trike kit maybe another 100…) I’m not sure year of trailer and trailer has no title. I pulled it down from Ohio with trike on it and had no problems. Since then I’ve installed new lights. I power washed it; wire brushed some bad spots and It is freshly painted ( Rustoleum spray can black) and has 3 new ST175 R13 tires; (spare new rim as well). I’ve installed new hub kits with all new bearings. Have receipts for new tires, hubs, This trailer has torsion axles and rides smooth. Plenty of tie down areas. I also installed an old school set of hard saddlebags to the front to store tie downs trailer stuff etc. Nice looking set up. Trailer did not have the original ramp; however I’ve adapted standard aluminum ramps to fit. You’ll get 3 ramps that can store on the trailer. On Sep-11-10 at 04:37:55 PDT, seller added the following information:I've gotten a few questions on the bike: Answers are below: TIRES: The look fine and hold air. I do not know the age. My father replaced them once but does not recall when. Mileage: (Can't see in picture); It just turned over 30,000 miles. Power Outlets: Bike hs the Power outlets installed; One on side down near right ankle, One on back to right of passenger. I don't have the accessory plugs that plug into these. ( and there is no 'plug' for cigarette lighter sort of charger. There is a Battery tender mounted on the bike. It is a Kisan 'Charge X' Plug / Cord is rounted under the seat and is the little door to the right of the passenger. I plugged in but got no 'led' to light on the unit. I don't have manual for the Kisan charger. But web site says it should glow red. I can't tell if working or not but no LED. Reverse: Yes it works fine. Keys: Yes have the keys to the trunk, saddlebags etc. Center Stand: Yes, it is 'missing' Likely removed during Voyager conversion. I do not have this. Bike does still have the side stand installed. Trailer: There is no brand name or model number anywhere. I don't know make or year. (and as I mentioned no title for trailer). Trailer Hardbags: They are Shoei Brand. Hard fiberglass. Lids close secure and latch. I do not have keys for these bags. The lights are all there ( bulb lens etc ) but I did not wire into the trailer lights so don't know if they work. I'm not sure what there were on or how old they are. And 'no' holes were drilled through them to mount. They are mounted with original hardware. I got a few questions about these.... they do not appear to be anything speical....just two old hardbags my father had in his barn...I did paint them black and painted the rails with chrome paint. I'll try to answer any other questions that come up. Just send them along. On Sep-13-10 at 07:33:37 PDT, seller added the following information: Visited SC DOT this AM to get title. Everything fine but rules changed in SC as to out of state titles. They can no longer issue them the same day. It must be mailed. Applciation process completed. They indicated 10 days to receive title. This means bike cannot be picked up until weekend of 25th or 26th September. Sorry for inconvinienct. I was un aware of the recent rule change. In past you could 'pay' $20 extra and have them print title same day. This is no longer possible with an out of state title. My father signed over to me to sell and titled in my name.
