You re bidding on a 1958 Chevrolet Apache 31 Short Bed Fleetside Pick Up, Four Speed Manual Transmission, 6 Cylinder. This pick up needs total restoration; the front clip is pretty nice (bumper, grill, hood etc.); does not run, needs body work, engine work, etc. This pick up was purchased at Lew Williams Chevrolet in Sacramento and has been in our family since purchased new by my deceased brother. The original Lew Williams License Plate frames are intact, see pictures, but the CA black license plates do not go with the vehicle. I had planned to restore this pick up, however, due to my age, etc., have since decided not to do it. The vehicle is a roller, condition of the engine is unknown, but not froze up. Will be glad to furnish additional pictures, and any information I can answer, to potential interested buyers. Sold as is. I will help to load on a trailer. Can store for a period of time and would deliver within 200 miles of Sacramento CA for the cost of my expenses. Please look carefully at the pictures and do not bid if you have any reservations. On Sep-04-10 at 16:53:13 PDT, seller added the following information: Did not realize when we listed this pick up, but we are leaving very early the morning of September 13 for a 9 day trip to Canada. Will be happy to furnish any information, pictures, etc., or you can arrange to see in person if you so desire, but we will not be able to deliver until after September 21. We can touch bases via phone after the close of auction on Sunday night, so that shipment/delivery or pick up can be arranged prior to our leaving. We can deliver on or after September 22. On Sep-06-10 at 08:44:23 PDT, seller added the following information: If someone wants the 1963 CA plates (all plates were reissued in 63) , we will let the plates go. If someone is concerned about picking up the vehicle or delivery due to our leaving on Monday, the morning after sale, please let us know, so that accommodations can be made. Note also, I have discovered that the exhaust manifold is cracked and will need repaired/replaced.
