Vehicle Detail

This is a 1970 AMC Ambassador SST; a beautiful, super-solid car. Although not documented, it has under 40,000 actual miles. The car spent most of its life in the driveway being driven on occasion. This car has all the documentation from when it was new and has a clean Indiana title. It has a factory AC; compressor kicks on but blows warm air. It is equipped with power steering and power brakes. It drives beautifully. I currently drive it about 50 miles a week. The paint job is only 2 months old - has several coats of clear coat (you cannot feel where the black stripes begin - completely smooth). I painted it to look like a 70's mopar. It has a mopar 440 6-pac hood scoop. The wheels are brand new (original wheels and hubcaps are still with it), new brakes, tires are good, new duel exhaust with glass pacs for that old muscle car sound. New air shocks in the back. The motor is a 360 V8 that runs very strong. It only has a 2 barrel carb but is still peppy. I have a 4 barrel manifold and a 4 barrel carb w/ a rebuild kit that goes with the car. I haven't changed it because its better on gas with the 2 barrel and plenty fast for me. The car comes with many extra parts: brake shoes, new intake gasket (for the 4 barrel), a lot of misc. parts. I did install a protronix kit and a new coil - no more points. Car has a fresh tune-up and oil change. The control arm bushings are a little weak but I have a new set for the car along with ball joints. The gas gauge quit working and will have to be addressed. The bumpers look great at 10 feet away and are presentable, but to make the car really stand tall, they should be rechromed - this was going to be my winter project. Everybody loves this car at the local car meets and most people think that it is a Chrysler product. This car, upon being sold to the highest bidder, would be able to be driven home. I would depend on it to go just about anywhere. I really hate to sell this car, but I am out of work and just found out we have a baby on the way, so, unfortunately, it has to go. It is a fairly rare vehicle and would make someone a great old car. Good luck and Happy bidding! This car is being sold as is with no warrenty. Serious bidders only. No trades and I will not end the ad early. If you are really interested, feel free to ask questions and bid through this auction.
