The previous owner was in Tehachapi, CA. I was told he had her as daily driver until the mid 70' and then only started it occasionally. After some mechanical and cosmetic restoration, I have been driving it on the weekends and have put about 1000 miles on it without incident. HISTORY: · She is a Classic Beauty! · She is the first year of the Oldsmobile Toronado. · This was Motor Trends car of the year in 66. · Al Uncer won the Pikes Peak in it as well. · The Front wheel drive was capable of 0-60 in 7.9 not bad when you consider the car weighs almost 5000 lbs. · It was going to be the size of a Camaro; however GM did not want it to compete and made Olds make it bigger. · First Front Wheel Driver American Car · First Car to Have 15” Tires · 425 cubic inches · 385 hp · 455 lbs tk ROAD TEST: · The car starts right up and she runs excellent. · There is no sign smoke coming from the exhaust (when hot or cold) or on the bumper · Engine idle quality is excellent · Choke works when cold. · Engine revs smooth. · Has fresh rebuilt Q-Jet Carb · Exhaust sounds great (watch and listen to video) · Engine performance and acceleration is good. · No engine noise at high or low speeds · No automatic transmission or transaxle noise · The automatic transmission is shifting smoothly · No drive axle or transfer case bearings or gear noise/vibration · The steering is responsive and smooth without play · Brakes work good no noise or pulling · Gauge operation; Speedometer good, Odometer moves but sticks. · Temp oil battery gauges are sending signal to dash, some gauges not working · Suspension is good. THE EXTERIOR: · Just repainted. Repaired most of the dents and dings. No major body work done. Repaired a few rust spots caused by leaves in the trunk plugging up the fender well (the vents under the rear window drain into the trunk) · Not my best paint job. But I am a perfectionist. Few runs and fish eyes. Needs color sand & buff to get the most out of it. Top came out nice. · No signs of major rust. Check pictures. 1 spot under front fender. · No signs of repair or major damage. Various spots have been repaired in 46 years. · Body panels have no dings or dents. Passenger sided front fender shows minor mis-alignment, No mismatched paint and overall paint condition is very high gloss with minor imperfections throughout check pictures · Chrome is original all stainless steel in excellent shape · All doors, hood, trunk open and close with ease and function properly. Vacuum assist on trunk has been disabled, opens with key. · Grill is aluminum and in excellent condition. Most of remaining trim is stainless steel. Wheel well molding shows minor dents, · Front and rear windshields are in excellent original condition with no visibility issues, minor pitting noted however no wiper marks or cracks. All windows slide normally (except driver’s front. Needs motor) without damage with new rubber molding. LIGHTS: · Head lights, high and low beams work. Vacuum assist disabled. · Tail lights work. · Brake lights work. · Parking lights work. · Hazard lights need work. · Turn signals need work. · License late lights work. · Interior lights work (no bulb installed. Kept draining battery) · Dashboard lights some work. · No cracked or clouded lenses THE INTERIOR: · The seat belts operational · Original radio not checked. May not work · Heating and ventilation work · AC is installed but condition unknown · The clock is not keeping time · The horn works. · Lighter/power outlets condition is operational · Glove box and glove box light and hinges in good condition · Center armrest and console ok. Door Armrest needs work see pictures. Have missing door panel but needs rebuild. · Steering tilt & Telescoping is operational · Interior rearview mirror in excellent shape · Fuel filler door release good. Located under rear plate · All door handles operate properly · Interior trim ok. · Carpet is new · Door panels, headliner, and sun visors in need of repair or restoration · All door locks are functional VINYL MATERIAL: · The condition of seat upholstery is showing signs of wear with various cracks see pictures. · Dashboard is ok. Has had repair work done. See pictures. · Factory tonneau cover redone with chip guard and high gloss black paint. UNDER THE HOOD: (New = within the last 2 years) · New rebuilt radiator · New rebuild master cylinder · New Plugs & Wires · New belts · New radiator hoses · New rebuild Carb · Minor Oil leaks · Transmission seems to leak when parked on hill. · Air filter time to replace · No oil in water. · All fluid level are good · Wiring is in good condition for its age. · Engine mounts looked good to me. · Water pump has leak around gasket. · No fuel pump leaks. · New fuel filter.
