Vehicle Detail

1988 F-250 I've owned this truck for @15 years, I am the second owner ( purchased from my nieghbor ). Overall the truck is in very good condition, it has always been well taken care of. I never intended to sell it, but I have too many at the moment. In NOV-DEC 2008 I replaced the engine-transmission-ect. The transmission had locked up, so i decided to replace everything. The engine is a new factory complete assembly(intake, injectors, distributor, flywheel/clutch, ect) not a rebuilt. I replaced pretty much everything under the hood with new parts from Ford... radiator, heater core, all hoses, all sensors, vacuum can, charcoal canister, ect.. The transmission I purchased rebuilt from a shop in Tenn, I think my concept of rebuilt and theirs is a little different. When installed it was a little stiff shifting into 1st and 2nd. Now after @15000 miles it is stiff in all gears and makes noise in all but 4th. I think they simply cleaned and painted it and called it rebuilt. I have since purchased a factory new transmission, but the only new one I could find was for a 4x4. The main shaft and tail piece need to swapped from the original trans to make it 2x4. The original and new transmissions are included. The interior is very clean. The only issue is the headliner which is starting to sag and could use replacement. The lower seat foam is worn on the driver's side and not as comfortable as the passenger. The rear tank/fuel pump/sending unit were replaced in 2005 or 2006. The front tank has drip and I only use it if I will be driving long distance. It has a few dings and some rust, but not bad. I replaced the radio/speakers a few years ago with a decent cd that has the integrated ipod. The opening bid price is less than I paid for just the engine. The engine, rebuilt trans, plus all the other parts came to @4500 not including the new trans which was another 750. So basically you are buying a new engine and everything around it comes for free. If you have any questions please ask, Thanks *** I just took the truck through NJ inspection and it failed for idle emissions. They now do an idle and high rpm test, the high rpm numbers were good. I talked to a local shop on my way home and they will look at it on tuesday and fix whatever it needs and take it back through.
