Up for auction is this 1959 Corvette Convertible. It belongs to a good dealer friend of mine that asked me to list it for him. The car was sitting for a number of years when he purchased it. As you can tell by the pics it needs a complete restoration. This is for someone who has the time and energy to expend on a good project car. These cars command high dollars when they are restored. As I find in my business, a lot of people would like to have one but cant afford the price of a done car. So here is one that you can purchase and work on it at your lesiure. Now onto the car. It has a 350 V-8 4 BBL engine with 4 Speed transmisson. I dont know what year it is. Joe got it up and running, shifting through the gears and got the brakes working so it can be yard driven. It is just running off the headers, no other exhaust. The body on the car is in pretty decent shape for the year. The lower front valance was damaged and he replaced it. I know there is some cracking on the rear valance and he has a new one to replace that. The hood has a tear drop scoop from the old days and the paint is definetly gone by. He does have the 2 metal inner front fender aprons. Front fender cove stainless is missing, has the wrong shifter, aftermarket temperature guage, broken rear tailight and radio missing. Windshield has a little bit of cloudiness in the corners and the passenger door window is cracked. Convertible top bows are intact but no canvas. As you can see, the interior needs to be gone through also. Car has a real nice frame, no rot or repairs! He put on a new set of wide white radials with Chevy poverty caps. These cars dont come by everyday so if your looking for one to build, here it is. Sold on a dealer bill of sale.
