Vehicle Detail

This car will be perfect for someone out there!!! College student, pizza delivery driver, or just someone with kids hurting in this economy that needs to save on gas. Economically speaking, this car is about as good as you can do and the fact that I just replaced about half the car with new parts, makes it a steal. The outside isn't in the best condition but I doubt anyone buying a 94 civic is looking for the most cosmetically correct car. I just had the car inspected at 3-5-9 Garage in Romeoville, IL over the weekend. It had a coolant leak so they replaced the water pump and water pump gasket and refilled it with new coolant. The front pads were almost gone so they replaced the front brakes with brand new rotors and pads. They also told me that it would be a good idea to replace the timing belt because if a timing belt breaks on a lot of honda engines it can bend a valve or something like that, so I had that replaced too! Oh yeah, the front drivers side tie rod was replaced too......everything was replaced with brand new parts. This is not some junkyard car even though the outside does not look good. It has been maintained very well with oil changes every 4000 miles and check ups before long trips. Anyhow, it was not what I was looking to spend just to sell the car, but I have no use for the car so I figured I might as well make it worth something to someone else so I could sell it for a fair price. Oh, and I almost forgot, just three weeks ago I had to get towed from a parking lot and paid two hundred fifty dollars to get the ignition module, rotor, and distributor cap replaced. Now it starts up like a new car every time. All the locks and windows are power and fully functional. The sunroof is also power and is working perfectly. It does not leak but it does have a spider web crack in it. It was caused by a rock flying off a truck in front of us a long time ago. The glass the sunroof is made of is so heavily tinted that when you are standing outside the car, you can barely notice it, and on the inside of the car it has that cover that goes over it so you never notice it. The interior is very clean for its age and it has NEVER been smoked in. The battery is newer (less than two years old). All four tires match and were purchased less than a year ago. It drives straight as an arrow when you let go of the wheel. THE AIR CONDITIONING WORKS and kept me cool on a hot day when I drove it back from 3 5 9 garage. The CD player is Pioneer and works fine. I think its about 3 years old. Alright, so that's all the good stuff....Now I just want to cover all the imperfections of the car both mechanically and cosmetically so that there is full disclosure and so that you can have confidence bidding. I have sold three used cars on ebay and am proud to say that I've always gotten positive feedback and appreciative customers. On the other hand I have bought a boat and a car on ebay and probably will be much more careful the next time I do. So, here's all the bad and the ugly. the sunroof has a spiderweb crack in it but it does not affect it mechanically and has never caused any leaks of any kind. the abs light turns on randomly...like a couple times a month. I had my mechanic run the computer on it and check the brakes. He said the code will keep coming up unless I replace some expensive sensor but that it is not necessary and it was like that when we got the car anyway and we've never had a problem with the brakes. the muffler is a little loud and needs to be replaced. I was going to have it replaced as well but I don't have plates registered on the car anymore and the place where i have muffler work done is too far to risk driving without tags. I'd say you could go to any run of the mill merlin shop or muffler place and have it done for no more than 150 dollars so just bid accordingly because you'll want to get it fixed right away. It's not loud like a harley or anything but its annoying....the muffler is fully intact and looks okay from the bottom so if you are really hurting for money you might want to patch it but I don't know how to do that stuff so don't ask me to help :) the windshield has a tiny hairline crack going down the left edge. It does not interfere with line of sight driving and you hardly notice it when you drive. the passenger door speaker cover fell off. It is in the trunk. I'm sure there is a way to get it back on there but again, I'm not good with cars. the outside of the vehicle has many patches with rust, worn through the metal in some spots and the paint is faded badly on about half the car. It does not even come close to affecting the cars safety or drivability .... it is purely cosmetic because it was almost always driven long distances during the salty winters of chicago. The car was driven back and forth from the naperville suburbs to Northern Illinois University for the last few years. She is an honor student and takes good care of what she can, in this case, the interior. The front license plate holder is bent so it probably needs to be replaced unless you drive without a front one anyway. And that's about it!! If I think of anything else, I will add it to the description. Please contact me if you have any questions. I'm putting as many pictures as I can of the car. I work a lot but I have a phone that I can text from if you need your question answered immediately. 630 333 7610. Also, I will be on a fishing trip when the auction ends so if you come to Naperville, you will be getting the keys and title from a good friend of mine who I trust that lives in Naperville off of rt 59 and 103rd. I will sign the title over before I leave. Feel free to test drive the car and check it out before doing the transaction. I have four keys for this car. Two valet and two ignition. Hondas are excellent cars and will last forever if you take care of them. The reserve is set so that I don't get crazy bidders with no money bidding for no reason. It is set below a thousand dollars so I'm positive this car will sell. Thanks and good luck bidding on what will be a very reliable car for a long time to come :)
