In San Diego area and up for NO RESERVE auction is a nice 1985 Mercedes 300D with an automatic transmission. It has been converted to use bio-diesel by Greasecar vegetable fuel system. It has an extra fuel gauge which I believe is for the auxliary tank. This is a non-smoker car. If you are new to Ebay with 2 or less positive feedback, please email me with your phone number before you bid. Engine is strong and good. Easy to start and runs great. All gauges in the dash show good readings. Transmission shifts nicely. NO RUST. It's a nice car. The paint is very good. Body is great, there's very miminal dings and scratches. Trims and mouldings are fairly good. There's some paint chip on one fender, please see last photo. Please look at the photos closely as they do a better job in describing the cosmetics than I could. Interior is very good. Upholstery is good. Carpet, side panels, etc. are fairly nice. Dash is beautiful. 4 tires are very good. Wheels has some fading. Brakes stop well. SOLD AS IS WITH NO WARRANTY! On Aug-24-10 at 17:35:49 PDT, seller added the following information: I took a closer look at the car and test drove it again. It runs very good and strong, transmission shift well. AC is NOT working. The compressor clutch turns when jumped and the clutch kics in. It means compressor is good and there's no R12 freon in the ystem. It might have a leak. The auxillary tank is pretty full so the gauge is reading correctly.
