up for bids is this RARE 1968 Dodge Superbee, 383 4 speed coupe. Just as a quick history lesson on these cars, Dodge introduced these cars in 1968 to try and compete with the instantly famous Plymouth Roadrunner. They only sold under 7700 or so 383 superbees in 68, compare that to well over 27000 total superbees in 1969, and you can see why you don't run across these very often. This car has a 383 in it, i am not sure if it's the original block, i was told it was. it was converted to auto at one time, and currently has the automatic under it and an auto console, but still retains the 4 speed pedals, linkage, notch in frame etc. 383 motor doesn't run, not sure the last time it ran or it's condition. the body definitely needs some restoration, but would make an excellent candidate. it will need lower quarters, decklid, trunk floor, some floor work. the frame looks solid. the interior is there, but pretty trashed. still has the rallye cluster in it. rolls and steers easily. It has the rare teardrop bulge hood, it is in good shape. these go for a ton of money by themselves. The body has a weird 70's psychedelic paint job on it.
