1996 Suzuki GSX-R

For sale is a 96 gsxr 750. Good fixer upper. What you see is what you get on this one. I bought this to sell. I can't verify the mileage the speedometer says 2,xxx and so does the title. The only info I have for this was relayed by the previous owner so that's all I can give as far as history. I was told this bike is a retired race bike that was being converted to a street fighter. I was also told the motor has some work in it that takes the displacement uo to 813cc. I personally rode the bike and took it through all the gears with no problem. The valves need adjustment. The starter needs to be replaced the one thats on it works but slips. The tank had a dent and a pin hole in it and the guy just covered it but didn't repair the hole so it leaks when the tank is full. The left control box that houses the horn,high beam and choke switch is missing. So when you start the bike its hard to start without the choke. If you spray starting fluid in the air duct its fires right up. Looks as if all the wiring is there just some things aren't hooked up. There was a switch added for the head light. This bike will also need front and rear tires. The under tray is half gone but if someone wanted to put a undertail on half the work is done. It will also need a fan. Please ask questions.
