Vehicle Detail

This is a brand new bike. I purchased it last December and had it delivered this spring. I was planning to ride it this summer but due to current physical limitations i will no longer be able to ride motorcycles. There are many sites that show you what a new red one looks like. I've had it in a garage and covered with a bonnet that i will throw in. It's brand spanking new with no scratches, dings or imperfections of any kind. Since I officially bought it last winter, I assume the manufacture's warranty began at that time. You will have to make arrangements to deliver it or pick it up. I have a man who pretty much will deliver anywhere in the lower 48 for $500. He is who I used to get it to me. I'm taking more than a $1000 hit here and will gladly supply you with my invoice to verify that. Honda is known for quite a number of breakthrough motorcycle designs—icons like the original CB750, the CBX (a groundbreaking six-cylinder) and, of course, the Goldwing. Clearly, the company isn't afraid to spearhead new directions in motorcycling. And the radical new DN-01 is certainly a unique direction. What really got my attention was the low 27" seat (I'm 5'6") and the race car paddle shifting. I have an extremely weak left leg from polio and have always had problems with shifters. I thought this bike would give me the chance to get back in the saddle, but alas, it's just too much bike for me. If I ever dropped it I would not be able to pick it up. Being 67 I have come to the conclusion that i will need a 3 wheeler. It's also water cooled and has a drive-shaft (no chain to break). First seen at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show, the DN-01 is a crossover of sorts—part cruiser, part scooter. At the heart of the bike is an automatic transmission developed for and borrowed from the Honda Fourtrax Foreman Rubicon ATV—a hydro-mechanical system called HFT that provides two fully automatic ranges along with a manually operated "six-speed" system for sporty riding. The SpecsThe DN-01 is powered by a new 60-hp, 52-degree V-twin engine. It's liquid-cooled, fueled by Honda's proprietary PGM-FI system and delivers 47 lb-ft of torque at 6000 rpm. The DN-01 has a shaft final drive to eliminate all the maintenance and mess typically associated with chains. The HFT transmission is a dual swash-plate device, where the engine-side swash plate acts upon a series of hydraulic cylinders, transferring pressure to the output swash plate. By controlling the angle of the plates, Honda can vary the speed relationship between the input and the output. This bike can really turn heads. If only I could keep it. Rode for 29 years. Was a blast. Someone help me find a worthy home for this beast.
