1962 Electra 225 - restore or rat rod. Ran when parked (about 7-8 years). 445 Wildcat engine. Interior is in great shape, seats nice, dash and all instruments excellent, headliner great, front door panels fair. All trim present and just needs polishing (bumpers driver quality, rear will need replacement). Driver rear wheel well moulding will need replaced. All trunk linings in place with no rot. 2-3 small holes in floorboard to patch. Lower rear quarters will need patched. Previous rust repair has been done, but could use inspection and a re-do. My intent was to patch up rusted areas - find some decent whitewalls, maybe flat paint job and enjoy an old school ride. No time. On Aug-18-10 at 17:15:37 PDT, seller added the following information: Added picture of trunk - also no picture of passenger side due to chain link fence being in the way - it is identical to drivers side - no damages, just rust in areas mentioned. Also - actual mileage is 109,578. A few have asked if the engine is seized, I stopped by this evening and put a battery in it for the first time since I bought it - bumped the key for a split second, motor is fine. I believe I could have it running in an evening, needs hoses (rat or squirrel damage) fresh gas to the carb and that would do it, I'd like to be there when it lights off, but. Will need a complete brake overhaul as the pedal isn't budging (car rolls fine). Trans fluid looks great, column shifter works fine. Wish I had more room but I'm losing my "storage" (buddy's house, getting divorce).
