Vehicle Detail
2003 HONDA ODYSSEY EX-L MINIVAN, BASIC TRANSPORTATION One owner since new. 133,800 miles. Serviced by Honda mechanic. A few dents and lots of scratches, but good reliable transportation. The Good: Complete new exhaust system including new catalytic converter. New brake pads New battery. New front motor mounts. Tires all in good condition. RI Inspection sticker good until January 2012. New brake pads front and rear. Timing belt and water pump replaced at 97,000 miles. And yes, the 2003 was one with the transmission recall, so the transmission was replaced with a brand new one at about 18,000 miles. Transmission fluid changed every two years since then (even though not called for in service schedule). Likewise, engine coolant changed regularly. Of course, oil and filter also changed about every 5,000 miles. Interior leather in good shape except for some t-shirt paint on one seat (see below). Carpets sound but could use a good cleaning again. More good: 4 very good Bridgestone Blizzak snow tires mounted on steel wheels. Just the thing to get you through a New England winter. Also included are a full set of winter Weathertech@ mats, the kind that catch and collect the snow melting off your boots. More Extras: Whistler Radar Detector and ipod adapter (plays though FM radio). The Bad: As mentioned above, one of the second row captain’s chairs has paint on it from a teenage tee shirt painting project. Might come off with some special leather cleaner, but I didn’t want to fool with it. The right side doors and rear quarter panel are dented from encounters with a parking garage pole and a stop sign that jumped out at us. The doors work fine, but it does look beat up. Lot’s of little scratches and marks, especially on the bumpers, as you would expect of a car this age. One strange spot of peeling paint at the top of the driver’s side sliding door. Happened in the car wash one day. The rear quarter windows don’t power open properly (they should pop out about two inches at the rear but don’t).
