You are bidding on a 1982 Mercedes-Benz 380SL in Black with Camel interior. Imagine the wind in your hair listening to your favorite tunes as onlookers marvel at this classic roadster. This convertible has less than 100,000 original miles and has been driven less than 1,000 miles a year for the last five years. It comes with a removable hard top (along with a roller storage stand) and a brand new soft top. I purchased this convertible in “fair” condition seven years ago as a weekend car and began a lengthy restoration and reparation process. Unfortunately, a little over a year later our daughter was born and the child seat doesn’t work well in a roadster, thus the low mileage. We are now moving and unfortunately I need to part with my “Baby” because I don’t want to expose the car to the elements. N.A.D.A. Low Retail on this vehicle is $13,200. Features of this vehicle include: V8 engine Air Conditioning Real wheel drive Power windows and locks Power steering and brakes Covertible and hard top SONY AM/FM/CD stereo with removeable face plate The following is a partial list of major repairs and improvements made to the car during my ownership: Replaced leather seating surfaces Installed folding rear leather jump seat not found in the U.S. models Replaced interior & rear trunk upholstery to match original Replaced many interior fixtures and dash controls Replaced sub-frame, which has been an issue on these models and something you should look out for when shopping. Replaced all V-belts, A/C compressor & drier, catalytic converter, oxygen sensor, antenna motor, brake pads & sensors, transmission seals, fuel pump & filter. Repaired instrument cluster Goodyear AquaTread tires with plenty of wear left As referenced above, I have purchased a replacement soft top which is still in an unopened box (see photo). The existing soft top has one repaired tear and one additional small tear on the passenger side. Instead of repairing it, I decided to buy a whole new top which is brand new in the box. The car is in very good condition, especially for a 28 year old car. I used it as a daily commuter a couple of weeks ago when my other car was in the shop and it looked and ran great. I even received a couple of complements when I stopped to get gas. I never trust the guys at Jiffy Lube so I will also throw in an extra oil filter and air filter.
