Vehicle Detail

This 1958 BMW Isetta 300 in a project car and not drivable. I think it is a good car for a complete restoration but will need a lot of work. It will fit into the bed of a full sized pickup & I have ramps to help load it US only. It does have the optional trim strip around the body in excellent shape. It also has the luggage rack attach brackets but no luggage rack. The original paint was blue (Gray on top) & is still under the red paint that was applied before I bought it. The previous owner had sanded the door down to bare metal so I primed it to avoid rust. There was no surface rust on the door. It is missing the motor, all glass, tranny, sunroof frame, wiper motor, horn, rear bumper, ID plate, Title and a lot of small parts. Look the photos over carefully & email me with any questions. Two of the three brake assemblies are off the car & pictured while one is still on the car. I have 3 hubcaps as shown. The floor will need a lot of repair or replacement. The passenger side front fender is rusted through. The rear self has several places that are rusted through. Besides this the body is pretty solid.. There are a lot of dents and dings on the body, the biggest is on the top outside of the door. The seat is here but in poor shape and will need a complete rebuilding. Gas tank is rusted through & has no cap. The tires are shot but the 5 rims are decent. I put the car on blocks for the photos. The speedometer is broken & the millage unreadable. The wiring will all need replacing but I will furnish a wiring diagram. The voltage regulator is bad. All in all I'd say it is in decent shape for its age but needs a lot of TLC. My reserve is very reasonable but will not be given out. I have an old Briggs engine that goes with the car. It ran when put in storage years ago but not sure if it still does. This is not the correct engine for an Isetta but looks like it might fit. There is a homemade driveshaft that is shown with the brake parts. I'd recommend. trying to find an Isetta engine & tranny if possible. I will furnish a Bill of Sale. The car has no ID plate but 574341 is stamped on the frame under the door. This means it is a 1958. I live at an airport with a 5100 foot lighted runway if anyone would like to fly in to look at the car. You can taxie right to my house & credit card fuel is available 24-7. I am about 12 miles NE of Wichita Kansas. Call me at 316 640 1532 for more info. I'd like a $300 Pay Pay deposit within 48 hours of end of the Auction & the rest in cash at pickup. I will be away from home Sept 5-16 so the buyer will need to come before or after those dates. I will store the car for free until Sept 30th but after that it will be $5 a day storage fee. Thanks for looking & call or email with any questions.
