Up fo auction is a nice 1983 300SD Mercedes Benz Turbo Diesel. This is a Southern California Car, so no rust Mechanical The engine is in excelent condition, has great compression, is very quiet for a diesel and has lots of power. The transmission shifts smoothly through all the gears and makes no excess noise. The suspension feels very solid, the car drives great and tracks straight. The AC is very cold and was reciently serviced. The brakes work properly, the rotors and pads are in good condition. The engine was reciently serviced: Valve adjustment, oil change, air and fuel filters, diesel purge, new mercedes coolant. Exterior The body has a dent in the drivers door. There is some paint deteration. The tires and rims are in good condition. All of the lights and signals work properly. European head lamps Interior The carpet is in good condition. No tears or heavy stains. The seats are in good condition with some wear but no major rips or holes. electric adjustments work properly. The head liner is in good condition. All of the electric windows operate properly. The radio/cd player is a newer model with good speakers. VegOil Conversion The system is a coolant based heat exchanger/filter with electric injector line heaters. The injector line heaters insure that the oil gets up to proper operating temp. (160 to 190 deg) before it reaches the injectors. The system can be run on diesel, vegetable oil or biodiesel. Filtered Vegetable oil is availible for $2.50/gal in the LA, Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino area.
