Pick up of car and the free extra tires (if you want them) is buyer's responsibility. All shipping arrangements and charges are handled by the buyer. Terms: Non Refundable Deposit of $1,000 due via paypal within 24 hours from the end of the auction. Balance to be paid within 7 days via wire transfer to my local bank. Once confirmation is received from my local bank that the wire transfer is complete, the car will be available for pick up at your convenience (any date/time chosen by you - we ask within 7-10 days from paying the balance). The car is from 1971 and as such is being sold as is with all sales final. No Returns or refunds of any kind. The car can be seen in person in Rock Island, Illinois which is 3 hours from Chicago, 5 1/2 hours from Indianapolis, 3 hours from Des Moines, and 4 1/2 hours from St. Louis Missouri. This auction is for: 1971 Pontiac Lemans Sport Hardtop Coupe with Factory Endura GTO Front end/Hood. Original vinyl roof. One owner car with complete documentation (window Sticker/invoice), matching numbers, Original owners are now selling (my parents). Complete with service records dating back to 1971 (including the first one which was for the 3,000 mile service). Serviced at the same Pontiac/Cadillac dealer where it was purchased new in 1971 by owner. My father ordered the factory option Endura front end at that time he placed the order for the car. Owner Manual (loose Cover), Original Dealer invoice for the car with dealer envelope. Original Window Sticker for the car, Original Protect-o-plate for the car and original trunk sticker. 162,008 actual miles, Clear Title in hand, V8 350 Automatic. Tropical Lime Green color with Black Interior. Service Records going back to 1971 and the first 3,000 mile service Car is in running condition but it is from 1971 and hasn't been driven in the last 5 years so it's being sold as is with all sales final and with no returns or refunds of any kind. Was last street driven in 2005. Last long drive was in 1987 to Los Angeles, CA for the summer before making the return trip to Illinois. Since 2005 car has been stored but started on a regular basis each year. Oil of choice for the car was Mobil 1. New Battery just installed. Interior is really amazing for being 39 years old. Some wear on the carpet and ceiling in small areas. Rear Bumper shows some damage. Small crack in fog light. Small area of the dash cracking - see photo below. Slight scratching on the passenger side rear window (on the side) from where it went up and down through the years. Rear shelf in the back window needs to be replaced from sun wear (replacement shelf is included but never installed - See photo of replacement shelf at http://i990.photobucket.com/albums/af24/Lemans3/Rear%20Window/replacementforbackwindow.jpg The car was ziebarted in 1971. Interior car was left stock. The only additions were a compass and Altimeter that my father added in the late 1970's for family trips under the radio (see Interior Car photos http://s990.photobucket.com/home/Lemans3/allalbums We went through the car this past week and trunk light works, dome light inside is intact and works, clock is ticking, radio works, turn signals and brake lights work. All headlights work (both normal and bright). Dome protective covers on the headlights. The driver side mirror has a lever to adjust it (the lever is bent). Power windows work. Horn works. AC fan blows (hasn't been charged in years). The only thing my father came across was the instrument panel didn't light up and the cigarette lighter didn't work - he said it probably needs the fuse replaced after all of these years. The Lemans Sport has Radial SR Tires (Steel wheels) on it along with a spare tire in the trunk - with original jack. ************************************************************************************************* Winning bidder will also have the option of receiving free - a set of 4 1973 Rally Wheels with the 4 Pontiac insert Emblems (2 of the Rally wheels are on tires and 2 are not). Some bubbling in spots now and a few cracking areas. Nose of car has scratches - see pics. Car was left in the rain last week to test for any water leaks. After the down pour, no water leaks found in car or in trunk. Incredible documentation of this one owner car along with it's quality makes it a great candidate for restoration.
