This fantastic Mercedes Benz is by far the best bang for the buck. I have looked all over and have not found a better 1988 300E. This classic car has had attention over the years and runs great even at almost 400,000 miles. Just goes to prove that these cars were built to last when someone takes care of them. This car has always lived in IOWA and has had 5 owners in its 22 years. Service records show that all major repairs have been performed at one time or another, meaning that this car is full of newer Mercedes Benz parts. The previous owners all obviously did whatever it took to make sure their Mercedes was always working well, even up to the mileage badges displayed on the iconic grill. Enjoy the car that they kept up. I have had a couple of trusted mechanics look over and inspect the car. Repairs that could be made at earliest convience are a control switch for the windows, reattach two of the armrests, recharge the AC compressor, and replace the axle bearing and bushing. These are all minor repairs and inexpensive. Also, the sunroof needs placed back on track although the motor, etc., still works. The tires have some good tread on them, the paint job is great and has just been buffed. The oil has been changed regularly and the car runs smooth as silk at high cruising speeds. My wife and I are thinking about an SUV because of all of the stuff we carry around with us.
