Up for auction is a '66 T'bird convertible. As the pictures show, this is a beautiful rust free car from TX and FL. It a 390 engine, power windows, air conditioning, power seat. Restored this car would be way north of $25,000 dollars. I bought the car several months due to how nice the body was. My intention was to restore the car and this would be an excellent candidate for a restoration. Rockers, lower fenders, floorpans, wheel arches, inner rear fenders, doors, shock towers, fender to engine bay mating areas are all excellent and rust free. A magnet will stick anywhere on this car, I don't car where it is palced - no bondo, no stories. Since purchasing the T'bird, I've purchased a 1956 Lincoln convertible that needs a total restoration so this bird needs to go. The good points: * Gorgous clean straight body with zero rust anywhere * New master cylinder * Excellent chrome and die cast metal * Working sequentials * New brake hoses and several new lines * All new ignition parts * Fabric top and window are in excellent condition * Fairly new exhaust system, no leaks * Many new front end parts * New front end alignment * New rebuilt carburator * Beautiful after-market "Tru-Spoke" wire wheels * Tonneau cover in excellent condition * Very presentable paint * Fender skirts (although they will not fit with wire wheels) * Car starts, drives and stops * Clean Illinois title in my name * Copy of original window sticker goes with the car The negative points: * Top does not operate - wires melted due to short, parts missing * One of the left hand convertible top "bones" is broken * Air conditioning does not operate * Radio does not operate * Power windows do not operate from the switches * Speedometer does not operate * Interior needs work, carpets, doors etc. * Oil leak somewhere from transmission * Some small chrome pieces missing from grill area I've mentioned that the body is simply beautiful but two points are worth noting. Several small chrome pieces are missing in front, and although there is zero rust anywhere and the body is super straight, it appears as if the rear quarter panels have been replaced. Just telling you what I would someone to tell me if i were bidding on the car. I have a very low reastic, confidential reserve on this car. I think it will sell via auction or "Buy Now", however it my reserve is not met, contact me after the auction and perhaps we can come to an agreement, within the Ebay boundries of course. I'll be open to offers and I need this car gone ASAP. I'm also selling this car outside of Ebay so I reserve the right to end this auction at any time without notice.
