Vehicle Detail
96 ford Bronco Eddie Bauer, 351, 4X4 with a two inch suspension lift. Purchased three years ago as a drivable project, I have Invested 6,500.00 in the truck. Drove great for two years, just used it to tow the boat and utility trail from time to time. A year ago the transmission started acting up. It would start shifting very hard. If you turn the engine off and let it sit for a few minutes then crank it up again it shifts smooth as can be, I think it resets the computer. It might go one mile or fifty miles but then it starts acting up again. A friend of mine has a ford truck that did the exact same thing and it wound up being the converter. I've never taken it to have it checked out. I continued to drive and work on it. It drove fine just shifts very hard. It sat in the back yard most of the time after that because I knew if I continue to drive it something really bad was going to happen to it until I could get it fixed. I would crank it up every weekend to keep the battery charged and drive it around the block to keep everything in good working order, and then the fuel pump went out in the gas tank. I dropped the gas tank and removed the fuel pump. Then the economy caught up to me and I lost my job so I need the money more than the truck. Below is a list of things that still need repaired? Driver side door hinges, driver’s seat reclining mechanism broke, the A/C doesn’t work, rear window doesn't go up or down, transmission ?, fuel pump and possibly replace the gas tank, brake job, EGR valve needs replaced, leaks a little oil out of the rear seal of the motor not much just a few drips every now and then, gas gauge doesn't work, driver seat belt locked and can’t get it apart. odometer doesn't work never did so I don’t have any idea of the mileage but the motor runs great just have the EGR valve vacuumed line disconnected. If I reconnect it it'll start running rough. Disconnect it and it'll smooth ride out, I think it's stuck closed. Needs rear window weather stripping on tail gate, need plastic trim were the top connects to the bed, never had it, no radio or speakers, some rust but not bad for a bronco, see pics. Tailgate has some dents from the rear tire being slammed closed, not too bad. When I removed the rear seat all the bolts broke off but I have drilled most of them out and was going to use nut and bolts to reinstall the seat, but I have not reinstalled the seat. If I think of anything else I will edit the ad but what I have listed is the worst of it. I can't speech for anything that's happened while it's been sitting not running or moving for six months (if you know what I mean). Now for the thing I have done: I put new 32" tires on, they have less than 300 miles on them, new carpet but dumb ass me left the driver window down and the water from the rain stained the carpet on the driver side floor, see pic. I put new Rancho RS 5000 shocks on the rear, two of the four up front, and a steering stabilizer, new inner, outer tirods and center link, new Cambridge and alignment, new duel exhaust with chrome tips, new radiator, And I Replaced the chrome bevel around the headlight. I removed the entire interior and herculined the floor from front to tailgate and the bed walls. I just pressure washed the under carnage to begin hurculining the bottom. If I think of anything ales, I'll edit the ad. If you’re really interested you may call me, David at (850)240-2297. This truck has great potential for someone with the time and money to finish her. I would bring a trailer or tow dolly when you come to get her. Honestly, if you replace the fuel pump and recharge the battery you could probably drive it. I say probably because it has been sitting and you just don't know. I almost listed this as a parts vehicle. If you have a bronco in need of parts this would be an excellent purchase. I will not part it out; you must take the entire truck. Must be picked up within two weeks of auction close unless other arrangments with me have been agreed upon. The zip is 32579 that is in the northwest panhandle of Florida between Pensacola and Panimacity Thanks for looking and good luck.
