Vehicle Detail

1983 Ford Mustang GT Convertible HO. Two owner car. This mustang retains its factory 302 and all factory engine components including carb, exhaust manifolds. All numbers match. Original T5 5 speed transmission. New factory exhaust. The black interior is in very nice original condition. The top is a black material top that is about 3 years old with a glass rear window. Only 1001 of these were made by Ford that year and this car is one of 950 built for the US consumer. The AC system is all complete. This Mustang runs, drives and performs like new. The Mustang has only one repaint about 5 years ago but this car is a no rust, never rusted car. Really clean and well kept car that was always correctly maintained. It is a 27 year old car so it does have flaws but nothing major. Later style Mustang Turbine wheels were put on because of ease of tire cost. We have all 4 original 390mm factory wheels that go with the car. Will assist in shipping worldwide TRADE FOR - - BMW 3 series - 1994+ Mustang GT ** 2 pictures of the buck tag. Call Andy 215-514-5812 1983 Ford MustangThe big news for 1983 was the availability of the convertible for the first time since 1973. Ford outsourced the convertible to Cars & Concepts, which received coupes from the factory and returned them as convertibles. The nose of the Mustang is made smoother and sharper. Revised taillights, a reverse hood scoop and the addition of a convertible are further progress. The GT receives a wide black hood stripe and fog lights that are set more deeply into the revised, less angular, front spoiler. The Ford blue oval would grace the Mustang for the first time ever, and was placed in the grille and on the decklid. The GT is opened up with the addition of a 600-cfm four-barrel Holley carburetor. Able to take deep breaths, the 5.0L makes 175 horsepower, the most in a Mustang since 1973. The GT can reach sixty m.p.h. in under seven seconds. The 5-speed T-5 was a midyear changeTotal U.S. Production: 120,873The inline six engine is replaced by a 3.8-liter V6.Introduced at the 1982 Chicago Auto Show, the Mustang convertible becomes available.ENGINES2.3L1V4-cyl88 HPA Code2.3LEFI4-cyl145 HPT CodeTurbo GT3.8L2vV6112 HP3 Code5.0L4VV8176 HPM CodeHOPRODUCTIONTypeProducedCoupe, standard33,201Convertible, standard23,438Hatchback, standard64,234-Total-120,873PRICESTypePriceCoupe$6,727Convertible$12,467Hatchback$7,439COLORSColorProducedBlackBright BittersweetBright RedDark Academy Blue MetallicDark Walnut MetallicDesert Tan GlowLight Academy Blue GlowLight Desert TanMedium Charcoal MetallicMedium YellowMidnight Blue MetallicPolar WhiteRedSilver MetallicORIGINAL ADVERTISEMENTS
