Vehicle Detail
here's your chance to own a piece of pace car history 1982 camaro Z28 indy pace car this is a running, driving car, not some basket case project. it is tagged and can be test driven. i had one of these in '88. i bought this one 3 years ago, you know to relive the memories, but i just don't have the time to drive and enjoy it.i've put about 500 miles on it in 3 years. so its been sitting alot. in a garage though.it has the cross fire engine with an automatic. it has power windows, power door locks, power hatch release, tilt, cruise and a/c. cruise doesn't work. it needs paint and new decals. the paint is faded and worn in spots and the edges of the decals are peeling. it has some surface rust spots, like where the paint and decals have peeled up,shown in the pics. it has 1 small ding dent over the left rear wheel well, also shown in pics. the bumpers and ground effects are good. the factory paint underneath is chipped away in some spots and it has surface rust on them. there is no through rust anywhere.these areas just need attention before anything does start. the interior is fair. the drivers seat has some wear, shown in pics and the top of right rear seat has a small split. the rest is decent, the carpet and headliner are good. the dash pad has 2 small cracks that run from the defrost vent to the speaker covers.again,in the pics. it has an aftermarket c/d player in it,works good. it is missing the right side sun visor, and the heater fan only works on high. the motor runs good, lots of power.the trans shifts fine too. the a/c has been updated to 134a and it works. i replaced the tps, but the idle still flucuates from time to time.this doesn't affect the drivabilty though. the valve covers have some oil at the lower ends so they will need new gaskets soon. the smog pump was bad when i got the car. in that part of VA there is no emission testing so i never fixed it. i did purchase the parts (used) to repair it and they go with the car. it also has recently developed a slight exhaust leak up front. haven't checked it but sounds like it's near the doughnut or down pipe.it is very slight leak, just want you to be as informed as possible.i kept the car at my house in VA,but it is now at my house in DE. so it just made a 160 mile trip with no problems. please ask any questions you may have. you can email or call 302-531-5185.it is available to be inspected and driven. i encourage it!i have a 100% positive feedback and most transactions were from vehicles. i want it to stay that way,and want the buyer to be as happy with it as i have been. this is a no reserve auction. it will sell to the highest bidder,i won't end it early,so don't ask. vehicle must be paid for in 7 days after the end of auction, but it can sit here for a reasonable time after it's paid for. shipping is buyers responsibility. however, i do drive a car carrier for a living. i travel to new england, south to tenn, and west to ohio.so reasonable shipping from me is not out of the question, but is not included and is not guaranteed. you can contact me about that prior to bidding if needed.quick list of what i've done and what it will needreplaced: l/s power window motor,O2 sensor, tps, centerlink, rear trans seal, tune up, a/c lines and converted to 134a, hood struts, battery, tiresstill needs: smog pump installed, cruise doesn't work, valve cover gaskets, hood vacum vents don't work, r/s sun visor missing, paint and decals and heater fan switch if i have left anything out it is not intentional. if you call, i will be glad to go over the car with you.good luck and thanks
