PLEASE CONTACT ME IF YOU ARE SERIOUSLY INTERESTED IN THIS CAR (locally for sale or trade) 1965 Pontiac Lemans convertible ''GTO'' Nice driver type car, this is an Original Lemans redone about 10 years ago with GTO conversion, a 400 Pontiac engine that was completely rebuilt (stock type) .030 over, one step-up cam, Edelbrock performer RPM intake, Holley carb, and upgraded to HEI electronic ignition. The car was also converted to a Muncie 4-speed transmision with a Hurst Super Shifter III with reverse lock-out. The interior is all original 1965 Pontiac, GTO front bucket seat, it is all in good condition. All electronic items work! gauges, AM radio, lights (low and high beam), turn signals, even the cigarette lighter all work. The car has ceramicoated headers and a full stainless exhaust that looks good and sounds great with a low tone and "rap" when under acceleration. The body is straight with no major rust or issues, trunk and floors are good, the paint is getting old and shows blemishes, small chips and scratches. The bumpers were rechromed and look very good. The convertible top is in good condition with some loose threads and worn padding, the rear plastic window is loose (after 45 years, it could use a new top), the top framing is excellent and goes right down and up with no binding, it works well. This is a nice driver car that needs little, just a bit of TLC to make it just that much more.
