Vehicle Detail
I am an attorney in Newark, Ohio, and I'm working on an estate that involves this car. It is owned by the sister of the guy that died. It is parked in the garage of his house, where he was tinkering with it on and off for years before he died in 2006. The house is in the process of being sold, so the car needs to go. She asked me to list the car on ebay so that we can get it sold for her. One of the family members wrote down the following in describing this vehicle: "Plymouth Scamp 318 c.i. 360 heads, Ketih black flat top pistons, 750 Holley Carb, 727 Trans Chetta Value Body TCI 3000 RPM converter, 8 3/4 rear end 456 gears, springs relocated centerline wheels, VW fuel cell, quarters cut out, front inner wheel wells cut out. Not street legal or track safe needs roll cage installed to strengthen body." Clear title (not salvage) in hand and ready to deliver to the buyer. Neither I nor the owner have any idea how many miles are on it now. The 1983 title says 15000 miles. Please contact me if you want to come and inspect the car prior to the end of this auction. We have set a low reserve. On the positive side, there doesn't appear to be much rust at all, since the car was kept indoors all these years. However, the tires are flat and the car doesn't have a battery to start it, so plan on hauling it away on a flatbed. I took these pictures and I will try to answer any questions, but neither I nor the sister knows much about it (the sister owned it, but her brother was the one playing with it). It is sold as is, where is. I don't make any warranties about the description that I have quoted, mostly because I don't know what most of it means.
