Suddenly it's the 1980's again when you could find a clean low mileage first series Scirocco in good condition. This 1980 Volkswagen Scirocco is an amazingly well preserved low mileage survivor. Only 39K miles, it runs and drives great, and is a very clean original example. Obviously well cared for and stored indoors, it does have a few cosmetic flaws that must be noted. The paint is original and looks good, but upon close inspection, there are a few scratches and dings. some deeper scratches are beginning to rust, and should be touched up for preservation. The leading edge of the hood is a bit faded, and there are a few scratches from items that were stacked on it during storage. On the underside of the hood, there is some surface rust forming, and a bit of corrosion on the aluminum surfaces. Inside, everything looks beautiful. The seats and carpet are original and in great condition, and the dash has no cracks whatsoever. Even the clock works! However, the heater blower motor does not work, the rear parcel shelf is sun faded. There is also a small spot on the passenger seat which may come out with a good cleaning. The period Blaupunkt cassette stereo works, but needs the code entered to play. Mechanically, it runs and drives great but the tires are old and should probably be replaced for safety. The battery is new. A really great original Scirocco that could be touched up and preserved for the future. Low Reserve! Wow... Suddenly it's the 1980's again when you could find a clean low mileage first series Scirocco in good condition.

This 1980 Volkswagen Scirocco is an amazingly well preserved low mileage survivor. Only 39K miles, it runs and drives great, and is a very clean original example.

Obviously well cared for and stored indoors, it does have a few cosmetic flaws that must be noted.

The paint is original and looks good, but upon close inspection, there are a few scratches and dings. some deeper scratches are beginning to rust, and should be touched up for preservation. The leading edge of the hood is a bit faded, and there are a few scratches from items that were stacked on it during storage.
