Vehicle Detail
I bought this truck in Jan. of 2009. It was a new car trade-in at a Toyota dealership in Memphis. It belonged to an older gentleman out of Mississipi. When I bought the truck, the transmission was slipping, so I had the transmission rebuilt and they also put in a new torque converter. The previous owner had the seat reupholstered, new floor mat, new dash pad, and new radiator installed. He had also put new tires on it. This is a 2 wheel drive, not a 4x4. I put new door panels on it. The truck had an exhaust leak so I went ahead and spent 700.00 on new coated headers and dual exhaust with flow master mufflers. It sounds great. The truck has dual tanks. The front tank's filler hose has a small hole in it. I haven't had time to fix it, but the tank is good. The switch that switches them works fine also. I've been using the rear tank. This truck is equiped with a factory Ford c.b., but I don't know how to work it. It made noise, but that's all I got out of it. It may need speakers because I can't get the radio to work either. It has tilt and cruise. Both work. It also had a/c, but it needs freon. Has factory aluminium wheels. The power steering pump and valve cover gaskets are new. The windows are good, brakes are good. Truck starts and runs great. The only real thing this truck needs is a paint job. The body is straight with the exception of the inside of the bed which has small dings and scratches. No noticable rust (only very minor surface rust where paint has chipped off). Oh, by the way, I didn't mention it yet, but this is an original 460 truck. It's never been raced. But my neighbor won't ride with me in it anymore, ha ha. (Although some have questioned it, this IS a 460 (flat top valve covers, 7.5 L), not a 400.) I bought this truck with the intention of keeping it for a toy, but I have a lot of things going on right now and need to sell it. Of course, I am selling this truck as is. However, I have disclosed all information to the best of my knowledge. * I will add more pictures very soon (tomorrow), the battery went dead on my camera. Full payment within 3 days of end of auction. Local pickup only. However, I might be able to deliver it within 100 miles for a small fee. Please email me with any questions. On Jul-27-10 at 16:23:00 PDT, seller added the following information: * Upon further inspection while taking more pictures, I noticed a rusty spot in the top of the door frame. I didn't notice this until the afternoon. I will give the high bidder 50.00 back because I did not originally notice it. (see pic) * The rear-view mirror needs to be glued back on. I have the mirror and it is fine, just needs to be stuck back on. * The letter "D" is missing from the front, but should be easy to replace. * I put a different tailgate on it (the one you will see in the picture is green) however, I still have the original and it will go with the truck. * It is a Ranger XLT (I forgot to mention that in original post).
