Vehicle Detail
I am selling my AMC 1984 Jeep Grand Wagoneer. 115,019 original miles. I want to be as open and honest as I can. She cranks and runs great! You have to let her idle and warm a little before taking off. I try to drive her nice and easy. I would trust that anyone could come get her and drive her home. She was my daily driver until February 2010. I acquired the Jeep in 2003 from a dealer and have done a significant amount of repairs and have most of the paperwork to prove it. Here is a rundown of the major repairs/replacements: Fuel sender/2004; Radiator cleaned/repaired/2004; Oil pan gasket/2006; New muffler/2006; A/C was converted to R134a with new drier, compressor and condenser/2007; New alternator/2008 (lifetime warranty on the alternator); Tune up with new plugs/2008 and 2009; New USA Magneti Marelli carburetor/2009; New ignition coil and control module/2009; Fuel system dropped and cleaned and new fuel pump/2010. She got new paint (matched to the original color code from the vintage dealer sheet seen in the last photo) in 2005. She had a new headliner when I got her. She already had the lift kit. I have replaced the carpet, lined the bed with anti-slip rubber, added a cd player (does not work)--and it would need to be replaced and rewired because the clock stops when the car is turned off. All of the window rubber "cat whiskers" have been replaced. Power windows work (2 cables need replacing but motors work). Power seats work fine. Cooper tires still have plenty of tread. It is no longer equipped with a smog pump. The seats are in great shape except for the tear to the drivers. The a/c is currently not blowing cold but I suspect it just needs a recharge. The 4 wheel drive and cruise control do not engage but I suspect it to just be the vacuum lines as most of the tubing has not been replaced. Jiffy Lube says there is a differential, transfer case and transmission leak. Cosmetic blemishes are visible in photos (scratches, small dent and chip) and have been touched up with paint. There is some small rust bubbles in a few spots (fender wells) but it is very minimal. Rear cargo window will operate by key but does not operate by switch. I do not think the rear window defroster works. I think I have covered everything but please feel free to ask any questions. Vehicle will come with a bill of sale only. Georgia does not require a title on a truck this old...I am not sure about other states so please make sure you know your state law on registration. Truck is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end auction upon local sale. EXTRAS included: a replacement bumper with bolts since current one has 2 dents; a Mopar driver and passenger side plastic power window cable since both need replacing (2 windows are currently held up by wedged cardboard), all original body emblems, original owner's manual and paint chip card, stereo speaker door grates, a/c vent cover DISCLAIMER: Most people looking to bid on a truck like this know full well what they are buying and appreciate vintage vehicles. For the few who do not: This is not a truck to stomp on the gas and expect to go 0-55 in seconds. This is a vintage vehicle. Please do NOT bid if you expect it to drive and handle like a brand new fuel-injected one. Serious bidders only please! PAYMENT: I would expect a $200 deposit within 2 days after auction ends and the remainder due in cash, cashiers check or money order when truck is picked up (no personal checks). I would be willing to drive 50 or 60 miles to deliver as well.
