Vehicle Detail

Hudson only made 7,486 Pacemaker cars in all four Pacemaker model lines in 1952, compared to 35,921 Hornet cars made in four Hornet model lines made in 1952. This actually makes the economy line Pacemakers more rare then the more upscale Hornets! This 1952 Hudson Pacemaker 4-door sedan has the 262 engine that produced 112hp, and it is coupled to the automatic transmission. It was last licensed for the road in 1971, it was then put into dry shed storage by the second owners until they sold it to the third owner in 2003 who put the car in his shed for covered storage. The engine will start and run when fuel is poured into the carb, but the gas line and the tank have become gummed up from the old fuel and will have to be cleaned out. The master brake cylinder is stuck so the brake pedal will not move, therefore the brakes are inoperable. I don't know the condition of the transmission, since I have not tried to drive the car, but it was operational when the car was put into storage. This car was sold new to Clyde and Viola Mead in Klamath Falls, Oregon on 5/20/52 by the Juckeland Truck Sales and Service agency, the local Hudson dealer. Included in the sale will be the original owner's manual, service policy, warranty card, etc that came with the car. The car has a clean Idaho title and bill of sale. During the early '50's when the Korean war was being fought, chrome on many American cars was quite inferior due to the shortage of chrome. This car will need some rechroming done, as can be seen in the pictures. The mice got into the interior so the interior will need redone. There are no real major rust issues with the exception of the front floor boards where there is some small areas of rust thru at the seam where the floorboard meets the seat frame cross-member, you can see it in the photo where the knife blade is inserted in the small area of rust thru. The rest is surface rust. If you don't have at least 10 positive feedbacks, don't bid unless you email me first and ask for permission to bid. Otherwise, your bid will be cancelled. Full payment must be received by me within 7 business days from the end of the auction. Payment to be made by bank certified check or cash, personal or business checks can take up to 30 days to clear. I don't use PayPal. The car can be stored outside at my property in SW Idaho for up to 90 days at no charge while the winning bidder makes arrangements for shipping, or to come and pickup the car in person.
