Vehicle Detail
2002 FORD F250 CREWCAB 4WD 7.3 LITER POWERSTROKE Up for auction today I am offering a truck that I have just aquired from a local trade at one of our dealers here. I am in the process of getting my dealers liceince, but as of now still am a private seller. This truck was about to be sent to auction and then onto a retail lot. So here is your chance to save some money on a very highly sought after and respected 7.3 liter Turbo Diesel Powerstroke. This is probably the best diesel engine ever to be on the market aside of the Cummins diesel. I've seen these trucks with over 400k miles on them, I personally have a 96' with almost 250k miles on it and its the same engine. This was the last year this engine was available in Super Duty's except for early 03's. I was told that the last owner of the truck was a welder in a town about 40 miles south of here and he had a welder mounted in the bed. There is some sign of that, they cut four holes about 1 1/4" in diameter in the bed, I figure for mounting purposes, it does have fifth wheel rails still in place. Other than that this is an extremely clean truck for the age and to what the truck was used for last. Mechanically- This truck runs great, no blow-by, tranny shifts great and everything works as it should. Like said it has the well proven 7.3 Lt. Powerstroke Turbo Diesel in it backed by an Automatic Transmission and a 4wd transfer case. The truck has a Banks Exhuast system on it, which makes the truck sound pretty darn good, but not the obnoxious straight pipe sound. When I got it, the truck had either rear overloads on the prints or lifted springs to support the welder, but once the truck wasn't under load anymore it sat really high in the back. So I order a 2.7" leveling leaf pack for the front of the suspension and installed it, now the truck sits almost perfectly level giving it a very nice look, but not too high. It has 265 BFG All Terrain Tires on 16" Factory rims, the tires have about 70% tread left I would say. Everything works as it should like said, A/C blows cold, all windows, locks, mirrors and other components work properly. Interior- The interior of this truck is very, very clean. It has tan interior with 40/20/40 front seat with the fold down center console, full bench back seat. It has power mirrors, locks and windows, it has electric shift on the fly 4wd, automatic healights, dashmat, am/fm/cass/cd player. The driver's side windows were peeling when I got it and I had them retinted to help the truck out cosmetically. Exterior- The exterior of the truck has a very nice shine to it with minimal wear. It has custom stripes on it that a local Accessory shop has been doing for the past several years and I know this is there work. It has a spray in bed liner, fifth wheel rails, reciever hitch, trailer towing package, Ranch Hand Grille Guard and Black Metal Nerf Bars. There are only a few notable places on this truck for damage, there is a scratch on the left rear quarter panel just behind the tire, very low. And there is a dent on the front right bed panel just behind the cab on the stripe line and some dents on the back side of the cab just above the bed. There are photos of the damage below. Overall this is an excellent truck for someone. It will perform as a great driver, hauler, workhorse or whatever you think you need it for, it can handle it. If there is anything else that you might want to know please feel free to send me a message or call me at 575-626-3557, my name is Eric. Thanks for looking, Good Luck and Happy Bidding.........On Jul-31-10 at 10:02:30 PDT, seller added the following information: .....Just for and update for all that are wondering, I don't know what the damage was to the truck prior to my owning of it. I know it shows accident history, but I don't see any sign of where it could have been. But you know if the bed panel was turned into the insurance company then that would have turned up as accident history. This is a solid truck, very good condition other than that damage on the bed, you will not be disappointed.......
