Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Here is a MINT restored 1973 Honda XR75 K0 I purchased 3 years ago when I was able to store bikes in my dining room. However, lately the wife feels I have too many toys in the ‘common area’ as she refers to it, and regretfully this is one that has to go. I don’t feel I would do this bike any justice by storing it in the basement or garage. I have never ridden this bike in the dirt…..only a couple of passes around my cul-de-sac. The list of parts that went into the build was extensive and I’ll do my best to detail it by memory. The frame, swingarm, footpeg assembly, kickstand, and chain guard were blasted and powder coated the correct factory shade of black. The fuel tank, fenders and side number plates were professionally painted in the correct metallic gray and ruby red. The tank work is absolutely flawless and the clear was applied over the ruby red stripes for a perfectly smooth finish! The engine received many NOS parts including piston and rings, cam chain and cam chain guides, clutch friction discs, camshaft, rocker arms, kick shaft and gear selector shaft, and all new gaskets and seals. A perfect NOS exhaust pipe and chromed cylinder nut round out the exhaust. A ’74 K1 front number plate was located and painted the correct color, the previous owner preferred this number plate as it allows the storage of the tool kit behind it. NOS Takasago rims, NOS spokes, polished hub and brake plate assemblies and the correct size and tread pattern tires round out a beautiful set of wheels for this bike. Many show chrome nuts, bolts, handlebars, kickstart lever, gear selector lever, chain guide bracket and other misc. hardware really set off this bike from the rest. The seat pan was a super nice original as well as the foam, a new seat cover with the proper grain and piping was installed. Polished lower fork legs, valve cover, intake manifold, etc., also add to the show bike perfection displayed in this restoration. I’m sure there’s a few details I’ve missed and at this point I’ll let the pictures complete the description. Oh, I do have the title from the previous owner in Michigan, and the owner’s manual and original carburetor. I don’t have the time or the means to build a crate to ship this, or any way to transport it, but can assist any shipper that comes to my house for a pickup. This means you locate your preferred shipper of choice and have them contact me for the pickup. I have had great success using reputable people on UShip. Thank You and Good Luck! And as always, this will sell at NO RESERVE! On Jul-21-10 at 13:56:34 PDT, seller added the following information:
