Vehicle Detail
1989 Ford Bronco Selling my 89 Bronco project that I no longer have the time or finances for. Body is in typical shape for a truck that is over 20 years old, but the ol’ girl still has some life in her! Truck is a 302 (5.0L) fuel injected model with power brakes, power steering and power windows. Interior is gray, exterior is black and gray. Has full set of factory gauges and also sports cruise control. When it was running, it has the TTB (Twin Traction Beam) suspension giving it a great ride, and is four wheel drive, with manually locking front hubs. When I picked up this Bronco, the engine was replaced about three years previous with a remanufactured unit, unfortunately the mechanic that installed the engine was unfamiliar with the AOD transmission and didn’t readjust the TV cable when he reattached it. Thus the transmission was out of adjustment and by time he was done with the test driving, the transmission suffered catastrophic failure. My idea was to replace the missing transmission with a donor from an 83 Bronco. Previous owner removed the AOD & BW 1345 transfer so I acquired the donor C-6 and NP208 transfer case to use. But as with most projects, time and finances have proven major obstacles, so here is your chance to grab a classic full size Bronco with some nice options and the chance to make it your project! The body is fair, some rust spots in the typical areas for Ford trucks, tailgate is rusted out at the bottom, was “repaired” by a previous owner…on the plus side, the dash & tailgate switches still raise and lower the rear window! All things considered, this is a pretty solid truck to start with given its age. Other “issues”: ü scratch running down the drivers side rear panel ü rust damage near front & rear drip rail above driver door ü driver inside door panel loose ü dent on the roof top (hard to see from the ground) ü dent in hood on passenger side ü fiberglass top is showing threads (needs gel coat) ü interior is gray cloth, but the driver and passenger seats have been removed and the carpet pulled back - still all in good shape, just needs reinstalling ü overall the whole truck needs new paint So what you are getting is a 1989 Bronco, no transmission or transfer case, no shift linkage (column shifter is still there). You are also getting two cores that can be rebuilt - 1 C-6 truck transmission, and 1 NP-208 transfer case (no shift levers or linkages though). Plus you will get the front and rear drive shafts for the original combo, as well as the front and rear shafts for the project combo. Conditions of purchase by bidding, you agree to all of the following: 1. by bidding, you are acknowledging you fully understand the condition of the vehicle (i.e. it doesn’t run and needs quite a bit of work). 2. this is a final sale - NO RETURN OR REFUND 3. purchaser (winning bidder) is 100% responsible for arranging and financing the picking up and transporting of truck 4. I only accept PayPal, and payment is due within three (3) days of winning So there you have it, a project truck for someone with the time and finances to make this a great running truck once again! If you have any questions, please contact me before bidding. Also, just to put it into perspective, my starting price is lower than the cost of the two cores alone!!! Check out the cost of cores for truck C-6's and NP208 Transfer cases that are rebuilt...that alone makes this a good deal! Thanks for looking!!!!
