Vehicle Detail
Here is your chance to own a piece of history. A 1958 Volkswagen Beetle sedan I purchased 7 years ago as a total rust bucket with plans to resurrect it. I have performed major surgery with the floor pans, front and rear aprons, various quarter and side panels, doors, and more welding is still needed at this time. I still have the original fenders and engine cover, however they are not worth saving unless you are way into that.Over the years I have purchased over $4,000 in parts to make a "custom" look bug. It was to be converted to the 12 V system with a dual port 1600 motor, and I have all the items needed for the conversion including, horn, wiper motor, headlights, alternator, etc. The bell housing has been ground to accept the larger 200mm flywheel. I was going to go with a flamed theme and purchased some unique billet dash panels and flamed stick shift knob. It has a matched bright white and royal blue interior, carpet and headliner. I bought a custom rag top kit to open up the roof. Somewhere I have a Mooneyes Blue Metal Flake steering wheel with adapter that matches the door handles, and I will locate that this week. The chassis has received new brakes/lines/wheel cylinders/master cylinder/drums turned all around, as well as rear coil-over shocks, new axle boots, and all wheel bearings replaced. For the front axle I have an adjustable link pin and lowered soindles. I have a dual port 1600 motor(not one pictured) that probably needs rebuilding. I also have a free spinning 1964 motor that has new tin, a brand new carburator and clutch plate attached if you would prefer. Gas tank has been cleaned and sealed with new filter and spigot. Here is a list of all new parts I have specifically for this vehicle that might be pictured: Tow Bar included: 5 Spoke Wheels with all mounting accessories/caps and new tires.4 new fenders with mounting hardware and beading, stainless steel running boards,1 Piece Window Kit w/regulators, Beat Street Rag top kit, custom white console and matching rear speaker cover, unique flamed shift knob, and flamed Billet Dash Panels, New headlight buckets with H4 lights w/Cibie Lenses, 1958 taillights and front turn signals, Pope's nose license plate light, headliner, rearview mirror with attached visors, chrome door sill covers, 2 pear shaped side mirrors with hinge pins, door handles, glove box, dashwire cover, seat covers, door and quarter panels w/ clips, royal blue carpet, all glass present, new windshield, and all window rubber, grab handle, assist straps, steering box, tie rod ends, headlight pigtails, turn signal rubber, rubber snubs, new European chrome bumpers with overriders and brackets, Chrome side moldings, tarboard sound deadener, chrome rear louver kit, fiberglass rear spoiler, antenna, inside door and window handles, Haynes manual, front turn signals, chrome parking brake handle and blue cover, seat belts, Empi door pulls, billet heater knob, Deck lid "T" handle, hood handle, chrome wheel caps. I also have a 1958 license frame and 1958 Bug Polo shirt(XXL) to go with your vehicle in style. This car does not have a title. I can help with local delivery.
