Vehicle Detail

This very solid, very beautiful antique car is also very rare. My grandfather had begun to restore it before he passed away in 1996. I do not know a lot about the car, but I do know that it is in very excellent condition. The frame has been restored and painted, all new brake lines were added, and the engine was running. After he passed, the car was put in storage and has been there ever since. I have been able to find at least 90% of the parts for this car, maybe more. Some of the glass needs to be replaced. All of the trim and the radiator shell needs to be rechromed. I have the front seat and the rumble seat, but they, as well as the entire interior, need to be reupholstered. There are some very small dings, but nothing major. I do not believe that there are any rust holes in the car. The cover for the spare tire has a rust hole, and there is a spot on the fender where the step for the rumbleseat bolted down that has rusted out a little. Other than that, this car is unbelievably solid for a 77 year old car. I have the big chrome ram that serves as the radiator cap. It goes with the car. I also have the door panels. I just forgot to take a picture of them. They need reupholstered, but are otherwise in excellent shape. We have had a house fire in the past and I am not sure if the car's title survived. I have looked for it, but have not found it. I will continue to look for it. I have taken a video of the car and parts and posted it on Youtube. Please check it out for a better look and more information regarding this classic "bootlegger/gangsta" car. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pNBlFeBr10c If you are the winning bidder, be forewarned that I will not accept full payment per paypal. I accept cash only (or cashier's check) for the full payment. The bank usually holds these checks for a minimum of three days to see if they clear. The check must clear before the car can be picked up, so cash in person would be the best option. The winning bidder must send at least 20% of the selling price via cashier's check (within 7 business days) or $2000.00 via PAYPAL (within 48 hours of the end of the auction) in order for me to hold the car. I do not have time to arrange shipping, so the buyer is responsible for picking the car up. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me, but only if you are a serious buyer. I have four children (ages 4 and under) and an injured wife to take care of. I do not have much free time. This is a beautiful car and will make an invaluable addition to someone's collection. Good luck bidding.
