Vehicle Detail

Volvo 240/245 M5 wagon looking for a new home/240/245 VOLVO person to fix me...save me....& drive me! Nice overall condition for a 1988 wagon. Very presentable and easy fixer for a daily driver. Put a few dollars and time into this one and you will have a runner for years to come. These 5-speed manuals (M5) are getting hard to find. These 240's are very safe cars, great on gas and versatil and offer a 400k life span if maintained. She was a daily driver for the owner before me 2 months ago. Body in great shape, paint overall is very good accept for hood, has some fading and scratches. I cleaned the interior and is good overall, driver seat has typical wear. Clutch and engine are great shape and exhaust is all solid and quiet, CAT back has been replaced/recent. Tires are all in good shape with good tread left. Nice aftermarket am/fm with CD. Volvo trailer hitch is wired. Spare tire and tools in place. Owners manual in glove box. Window glass is all good, all lights and gages working. work done: drive belts, plugs, air filter, distributor cap & rotor, oil & filter, replaced both tail lights and front turn signal covers, added lic plate brackets (front bracket added after picture taken), cleaned car inside and out, cleaned rims and replaced hubcaps, replaced e-brake console, replaced door pockets, replaced wiper blades (T-belt should be good for next 10,000 miles or so) work needed: brake pedal is low (maybe bleed system), replace front & rear brake pads, center carrier bearing worn, working but making noise, a/c not working, replace windshield gasket or use silcone sealer, (240 series typical problem, they shrink with age, new gaskets are one piece and fit better). Just trying to list what I know that it needs. I have discribed this wagon as best I can considering she is 22 years old, buyer must expect to need to do some more work to her to make her right as mentioned. This wagon is a great base to build from and to bring to the next level, well worth the time and money. I drive one like this all the time as my own car (1991 M5) and have had many in the past and know enough to know that this one is a good solid vehicle to put time and effort into. These 240's were built well, to be safe and last into the 400k range. My 1991 wagon gets 30mpg at 70mph on a 100 mile hwy trip. You can pay more or pay less for a 245 wagon, they will all need some kind of work to make them right, as they get harder to find, their values will increase, good luck. Please email or call and ask away, be glad to answer any and all questions. 860-885-9585 cell pepclark@comcast.net
