Vehicle Detail

For sale is my daily-driver 1988 GMC SLT Sierra 1500 Stepside 4X4 Pickup Truck. I bought this truck 2 years ago for $3,000. I have put $7,500 towards restoration costs, specifically the items listed below. When I purchased the truck 2 years ago, it had 202,000 miles on it; it currently has just under 225,000 miles on it. The motor was replaced by the former owner at ~180,000 miles with a 5.7L 350ci stock V8 with throttle-body injections. The engine runs fine. Also, at about 204,000, I had the transmission replaced by the local GMC dealer. Work completed while I've owned the truck: 1. Throttle-body work 2. New EGR valve, solenoid 3. New starter 4. New battery 5. Ball joint (Right upper, only) 6. Electronic-brake controller (Draw Tite) installed 7. Front sway bars 8. New A/C (also, converted to R134a 9. New front seat (came from a truck with 40,000 miles) 10. New rear window assembly (Pilkington) 11. Sony CD deck 12. New exhaust Everything on the truck, aside from the power door locks, works. The A/C works, as does the Cruise Control, all the lights/directionals, etc. The Massachusetts inspection sticker is current. The exhaust system is new. The 4X4 works. I am the third owner. The first owned the truck for the first 10 years. His mechanic bought the truck and owned it (locally, here in Bolton) for the 2nd 10 years. He replaced the motor - he did the job himself, at his shop - he is a mechanic, by trade. I have put $7,500 into the truck over the past 2 years, including a new transmission installed by the GMC dealer. As my daily driver, I have tended to this truck with all of its needs - as a result, the vehicle has little squeaks, and no issues. Last summer, I pulled a 30-foot 5,000 pound travel trailer from Ohio to Wyoming and back to Ohio, then to Massachusetts after dropping off the trailer in Ohio. It did very well - no overheating, no issues. The frame is strong, and the motor and transmission are both new. The truck is beginning to rust on a couple of the body's under panels; however, the body is largely in great shape given its age. The interior is very clean, and entirely dry. There are no leaks, etc. The 4X4 works well. While this is being priced as a weekend "Home Depot-getter", it has been my daily-driver for the past 2 years and is reliable. It, however has 224,000+/- miles on it, and thus is being sold strickly on an as-is, no warranty basis. The low price, despite the fact that I have over $10,000 invested into this truck, reflects this basis. Please email me with any questions and I will be happy to respond. Also, I am happy to share the ~$7,500 in receipts from my local GMC dealer, from the past 2 years while I've owned the truck, with the winner. Thanks for your consideration. Dave
