Vehicle Detail
1972 Mercedes-Benz 250C Coupe VIN #11402312008099 This is a rare high-performance full-sized vintage Mercedes Coupe. It has a 2.8 liter M130, twin overhead camshaft M130 150-HP engine with dual carburetors and a 4-speed automatic transmission. Car Details: The car is rust free and had a quality repaint before I purchased it in 2006. 34,900 miles indicated, but I’m not sure if its accurate. All front sub-frame bushings have been replaced to restore a quality ride. This is the most important thing to look for in these cars. All A/C components are there, but it has a leak somewhere, on R134. I have not repaired it as even when working properly, Mercedes a/c units in those days were ineffective. All power windows work, so roll down the windows and enjoy the classic hardtop lines. The car has had a tachometer added. The fuel gauge is inaccurate. Tires are in great shape, having 90% tread left. Front carpets are badly worn. This car is definitely a hobby car, for tinkering and Sunday drives. These cars are not known for their fuel economy, typically getting about 14mpg. About me: I am a very heavy-duty Mercedes-Benz hobbyist, with over 20 cars ranging from 1962 through 1995 in body series W111, W123, W124, and W126. I have a fully equipped garage with service library and indoor storage facilities for my cars. I am a frequent contributor to various Mercedes-Benz bulletin boards. I am not a dealer and rarely sell cars on the open market. This is the fourth car I have sold on Ebay during the past five years. Generally I purchase clean, interesting cars, restore them mechanically, and drive them until I find a new love, and then sell them to my friends. As the years are now catching up with me, I have realized that I need to reduce my collection. Hence this car is now for sale, as I have another identical 250C. Check the photos and my feedback, and feel free to email me or give me a call (918-527-5710) with any further questions about this car or any of the 1970-1995 vintage Mercedes models. I can email you further photos of any part of the car you need to see. The reserve on this car is modest.
