Vehicle Detail

Up for sale (or specific trade - please see last paragraph) is my beautiful Super Sport Chevelle, Big Block 396-350 horse period correct engine and correct Muncie 4 speed. Vehicle has black bucket seats but came with a bench...which I have with a wrong colored cover, that goes with the car. This is an am/fm car with no air. Interior and carpet is very nice, trunk and bottom are very nice as well. There has been some body work done in the past as evidenced at the bottom of the doors but shows very nicely and has no rust. The mileage shows 31000 and change, but I don't know whether that's real or turned over. Between me and the previous owner (at least 7 years of history) it's had very little drive time. When was the last time you've seen one of these at the car show. There are a number of dings and scratches in the older (but quite nice) red lacquer paint. At 20 mph it's museum quality, at 20 feet very nice. All original stainless SS trim is on the vehicle, inside and out. All badging is intact and very nice. Bumpers are great, rear tires are 80% fronts are brand new (tough to find them to match but they do). The motor is about 2 years rebuilt with a mild cam and new holley carb with less than 2500 miles on the package. I replaced the points with a pertronix system which has been great and will be on every old car I own moving forward. The plugs and wires are new and the batter is less than 6 months old. There are new mufflers on the exhaust, which sports period correct manifolds. Sounds great, runs better and stronger than new. I've never hammered this vehicle. It has the original suspension in the rear and experiences annoying wheel hop even if the wheels spin on wet roads. It rides and tracks very straight with no squeeks or chunks in the suspension. It runs down the freeway at 180 degrees all day long and is a wonderful, head turning vehicle. The front brakes have been converted to disc and they stop very well. The power top works very well, all electrics and lights (inside and out) work except for clock. There are no dash cracks and only minor wear on the seats. The interior is beautiful and the shifter is equipped with the hurst chrome badge and original white shift knob. The interior panels all look great and the convertible top is beautiful. The wheels are original 14s and look great. The engine compartment is nicely detailed and looks very clean, wires are right and I've kept the original resistor block for cause. There is a new master cylinder and vacuum. Original looking spare and jack in trunk, which is very clean...please see the photos. The top is very clean, bows are nice and the windshield pillars are rust free and in great shape. There is a small crack in the corner of the windshield which traverses appx 4 inches from side to corner but is not going any further. Top trim and seals are in very nice shape. Door springs could use replaced as there is no return. You could enjoy this unique vehicle for many years as is or put a top notch paint job on it and take trophies every where you go. I'm a big fan of inspections, please feel free to come and see the vehicle. I'll take you for a ride, no drivers pls. You'll love this vehicle and will not be disappointed. I like to get a new vehicle every few years and here's what I'm looking for now. I will consider a trade, partial or full, for 1958 - 65 Corvette, 72 - 75 Convertible Corvette, 1968 - 70 Plymouth Satellite/Road Runner/GTX convertible, 1955 - 63 Cadillac Convertible, 1932 - 35 Ford, 1966 - 68 Chargers, or an air cooled (very nice) Porsche 930. No projects that don't drive please. I strongly prefer manual transmissions....autos are for racers and don't sound nearly as nice. You're welcome to call with questions, Chuck 440-552-1644. Thanks and good luck with the bidding. If there are additional pictures you'd like to see, please let me know. I will be shooting on a lift and adding underside photos Sunday or Monday. This is a 7 day auction, I'll deliver to 100 miles but prefer you come see and buy for yourself. On Jul-18-10 at 17:57:29 PDT, seller added the following information: I took several pictures of the underside of the vehicle today on a lift but was advised by ebay no more can be added to the listing. Please email me and we'll send you them off right away. Thanks for the continued interest. My husband is out of town until tomorrow afternoon and will not be available for questions until about 4 pm Monday. Thx T
