I believe it is a nice value at the price we have it listed at ! Cars like this were quite a novelty in their day to say the least but now, in this kind of shape ? What a find! The Bug enthusiast should be pleased to own this BEAUTY. This is a Karmann convertible which they tell me means it was built in Germany and is the one to have. I drove this BEAUTY as my everday driver to and from the office and running errands as needed and I can assure you this car runs and drive well. I drove it to the office the other morning with the top down and can see why these cars are so loved by their owners, TO FUN !! It also does well on the freeway at highway speeds and still retains its fuel injection system which is correct for this year. They tell me the 78 and 79 Bugs were the best all around driving of all the years of the first generation Bugs. Car comes with its ORIGINAL owners manual and selling new car dealership plastic folder, NEAT !! (Shown in a picture below) If you can make it to Boise in the next ten days please come look at and drive this car for yourself you won't be disapointed.The car has what appears to be the smooth, original 1.6 liter Fuel Injected VW four cylinder motor in it and running well. The previous owner informed us that the motor was rebuilt some years back but not alot of miles have been put on the car since the rebuild. We had a local mechanic look it over and he did a miner tune up on the engine including a valve adjustment so the car is ready to go for the new owner. It also has a smooth four speed manual gearbox which also functions well. The White exterior paint is EYE POPPING BEAUTIFUL showing only a few chips but is still bright and shiny and looks VERY NICE as you can see in the pictures. The black convertible top is in GREAT condition it had a couple of little cuts (less than an Inch) that we had repaired and you can't even tell. The ORIGINAL INTERIOR is also in nice condition with NICE ORIGINAL front bucket seats with factory headrests, NICE ORIGINAL rear bench seat, NICE ORIGINAL floormats, NICE ORIGINAL steering wheel, good ORIGINAL door panels and a good ORIGINAL dash with a couple of cracks as you can see in the interior pictures below. When we bought this car the seats were covered with seat covers and the floors had two sets of aftermarket floor mats protecting the ORIGINAL MATS. In my opinion your not going to find a much nicer ORIGINAL INTERIOR than the one in this car, UNBELIEVABLE !! This Bug Convertible is nicely equipped including a AM/FM stereo radio with aftermarket speaker's mounted in the front, Dual factory exterior mirrors, factory rear window defroster for the Glass rear window, good heater and defroster, factory seat belts and a nice matching black convertible top boot. This is a quality car that drives very well and is nice and tight. It is a really COOL little vehicle. The radial tires are are in good condition as are the chrome wheels with chrome Volkswagon hubcaps. I looked underneath and also included photos below. This is a nice collector vehicle and it has plenty of good looks to boot ! This little 1978 Volkswagen "Karmann" Beetle Convertible is a real find ! I believe it is a nice value at the price we have it listed at ! Cars like this were quite a novelty in their day to say the least but now, in this kind of shape ? What a find! The Bug enthusiast should be pleased to own this BEAUTY. This is a Karmann convertible which they tell me means it was built in Germany and is the one to have. I drove this BEAUTY as my everday driver to and from the office and running errands as needed and I can assure you this car runs and drive well. I drove it to the office the other morning with the top down and can see why these cars are so loved by their owners, TO FUN !! It also does well on the freeway at highway speeds and still retains its fuel injection system which is correct for this year. They tell me the 78 and 79 Bugs were the best all around driving of all the years of the first generation Bugs. Car comes with its ORIGINAL owners manual and selling new car dealership plastic folder, NEAT !! (Shown in a picture below) If you can make it to Boise in the next ten days please come look at and drive this car for yourself you won't be disapointed.
The car has what appears to be the smooth, original 1.6 liter Fuel Injected VW four cylinder motor in it and running well. The previous owner informed us that the motor was rebuilt some years back but not alot of miles have been put on the car since the rebuild. We had a local mechanic look it over and he did a miner tune up on the engine including a valve adjustment so the car is ready to go for the new owner. It also has a smooth four speed manual gearbox which also functions well. The White exterior paint is EYE POPPING BEAUTIFUL showing only a few chips but is still bright and shiny and looks VERY NICE as you can see in the pictures. The black convertible top is in GREAT condition it had a couple of little cuts (less than an Inch) that we had repaired and you can't even tell. The ORIGINAL INTERIOR is also in nice condition with NICE ORIGINAL front bucket seats with factory headrests, NICE ORIGINAL rear bench seat, NICE ORIGINAL floormats, NICE ORIGINAL steering wheel, good ORIGINAL door panels and a good ORIGINAL dash with a couple of cracks as you can see in the interior pictures below. When we bought this car the seats were covered with seat covers and the floors had two sets of aftermarket floor mats protecting the ORIGINAL MATS. In my opinion your not going to find a much nicer ORIGINAL INTERIOR than the one in this car, UNBELIEVABLE !! This Bug Convertible is nicely equipped including a AM/FM stereo radio with aftermarket speaker's mounted in the front, Dual factory exterior mirrors, factory rear window defroster for the Glass rear window, good heater and defroster, factory seat belts and a nice matching black convertible top boot. This is a quality car that drives very well and is nice and tight. It is a really COOL little vehicle. The radial tires are are in good condition as are the chrome wheels with chrome Volkswagon hubcaps. I looked underneath and also included photos below. This is a nice collector vehicle and it has plenty of good looks to boot !
