Nice little car. I've had the car a few years. I bought it from my boss who had it in his garage for about 12 years. He had it since 81 when he bought it used from a dealer. He drove it and kept it up until he parked it at one point replacing the block with a 79 L28. He got married and started having trouble with it and bought a SUV. He didn't want to mess with it any more and parked it. After I bought it I found out the only problem with it was the fuel tank got trash/rust built up in it and clogged the steel tube coming out of the tank and the fuel filter starving it of fuel. I had the tank boiled and I painted it and new fuel pump with a prefilter between the two. I bought brand new BFG Touring T/A's and had it aligned (I dont' think there is 200 miles on it since, replaced the clutch master and slave cylinders, new plugs, valve cover gasket, and a few other odds and ends. Paint is not that great, original color was red but it was white in 81 when my boss bought it. Spedo doesn't work. There is some rust in the normal places but its not that bad and most of it is just surface rust and some has pitted holes like in the pictures. Transmission whines in first and second, I have a spare that needs to be rebuilt or a good manual I think T5 but its out of a 280zx turbo and from what I have read it isn't to much trouble to install since I have a spare crossmember for the 280Z and the crossmember for the 280ZX. I also have a bunch of other spare parts like tail lights, hubcaps, rear diff, gauges. and a box or two of other odds and ends. The air conditioning has not been touched but it does not currently cool however it worked when it was parked, the heater wouldn't blow hot this winter either, both these will need attention. The cigarette lighter is not working either.The carpet is decent as are the seats except the tears on the driver seat, both of these were replaced with JC Whitney parts back in the day. Dash is ate up but it has a hard molded cover on it. Door panels are good with a little fading on the chrome. steering wheel is gummy and needs a cover. I do have a true FSM factory service manual for this year model from datsun as well. I'm to big for this car at 6'-5" and 250 lbs and I have to many other toys that I want to spend time on.
