Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on my 1967 Ford Galalxie 500 Fastback. I bought this car just over 2 years ago with the intentions of turning it into a resto-rod. My wife and I had our first child and bought a home last year, so the project went on hold. Recently I lost my job and found out out we are pregnant with our 2nd child! (Yikes!) Any way, I have little time and even less money right now and rather than see it sit and rot I am getting rid of her (the car!) It has a 390 big block FE motor, original as far as I know. I purchased and installed a new Edelbrock Performer 390 intake, and a new 650 cfm Holley 4 BBL carb, new dist. cap, rotor and wires as well. It has a new alternator and a new master cylinder (not installed, but comes with car) I also have the original 2 BBL intake and carb and another Ford FE 4 BBL intake that will come with the car as well. This car is a factory A/C car. The compressor needs to be rebuilt, it has been removed but I have all the parts. The engine bay needs attention, it looks like it mostly original... wiring, vac hoses, etc. But she runs and starts easy. I haven't driven it much just due to lack of time. She is garage kept and comes with a car cover as well. The odometer shows just under 40,000 miles..... I'm not sure if that's correct or not, could be 140,000. But the body is very solid which also leads me to believe it may have been a southern car and maybe the miles are correct! The body is in good shape. There is minimal rust in the usual spots. The rockers are solid and the quarters and front fenders are solid too (see pics). There are 3 dents I need to give you details on. The fool I bought it from backed it into a pole just before selling it to me, he got the rear bumper and trunk pretty good. The trunk can be pulled out with ease, but the rear bumper needs some TLC. I was going to paint most of the chrome when I got to it, but if you know a good bumper shop I have been told it can be repaired and re-chromed. He had the car stord in a barn, and rather than get out a ladder, he decided to use the roof as one instead (small dents, see pics) easy fixes. Also, there is a patch in the trunk that was put in prior to my ownership. (see pic) The interior is, well, look at the pics. The back seat is in good shape, with no tears. The headliner is all but gone. Carpet is original, dash shows some weathering. But its a '67, not too bad for original. I've seen worse! Hopefully I have given enough info, if you have any questions e-mail through e-bay or call 269-429-0819 and leave a message. I will check all messages in the evening and respond right away. I will require $250.00 deposit within 48 hours of auction close. Thanks, and happy bidding....Craig Forgot to mention: I have a complete engine gasket kit that goes with the car, and I started it yesterday and was reminded that it has an exhaust leak at the manifold. It just needs a new exhaust manifold gasket, which is in the kit.On Jul-19-10 at 17:03:38 PDT, seller added the following information:I am willing to store it for a couple of weeks, but payment details would need to be worked out. I am willing to work with any one who has some logistics to take care of, I can fully appreciate that.
