The infamous 85 Suzuki Madura 1200! www.ajfedor.com/FinePrint.html Now that you've read the fine print, If you're looking here, chances are, you already know what this bike is. If not, Google it or ask around. Most descriptions are about the same: Nice, Sweet, smooth, handles like a toy and of course, hang on cuz it has enough torque to rip your head out by the roots. (Here's my disclaimer: I'm not responsible for anything you as do a result of buying this bike) It is not for a novice rider. The thing is actually not designed for the speeds it's capable of. The "Maddie 1200" gets on the power band at 6K rpm. 6K rpm in sixth gear is about 120mph, which means: at 120 it really starts to really pull! (That's just nuts!) May well be one of the cleanest 25 year old Maduras in captivity. In the last three weeks I installed a new 200 dollar Barnet clutch kit (Kevlar plates, new steels and springs) also a new Gel battery. Got it last year from a guy in Kentucky and kept in in a heated garage. Chrome is good and the few places where you can find rust, like the spokes its just the "surface" kind that cleans right up. Front tire is like new, rear is very good. A little over 20K miles on the old girl. No "obligatory Madura seat rip" Fell over once in my yard and broke up my windshield and scuffed up a turn signal but it's never beed down in the street as far as I know. Has some cosmetic scratches on the tank where a little kid wanted to polish daddy's motorcycle with a dremel tool; (bless his little heart) thus the bogus bullet hole stickers on the tank covering the little tyke's act of charity. I actually love this bike! I'm only selling it for some peronal issues.
