Vehicle Detail
Hi and thanks for looking. I have a 1991 BMW 325 that is unbeliveably clean inside and out. I took this car in on a trade for some work I performed on the previous owner's other car. She was going about 40mph when the engine died. She called me over to have a look at it, and I noticed that the camshaft wasn't spinning. This is an interference engine, and I told her that engine damage probably resulted from the broken timing belt. She hauled it over to a mechanic shop, where they installed a new belt, but it wouldn't run right. I took the car on trade in hopes that I could get it running for my neighbor's son. I pulled the cylinder head in the beginning of June, and noticed that all six of the exhaust valves are bent, and all six collided with the pistons. (The engine is junk). I recently just underwent major unplanned surgery, and don't have the desire, nor the physical ability to perform an engine R&R. This car is so clean, that I can't see myself parting it out. I'd like for the potential buyer to have formal knowledge of these vehicles, and hopefully he/she will know where to pick up a used engine, or perhaps have this one overhauled. Everything that you need to make it run is in the trunk, including a brand new starter. The body has next to no cosmetic flaws. Someone backed into her at the mall, and the front bumper cover is cracked. Also, there's a small door ding in the driver's side rear door. The passenger's side front fender has some paint errosion, and I have no clue how it got there. The previous owner took extremely good care of it, and lived in a condo where she parked it in a parking garage. The paint isn't faded or peeling, nor is the clear coat cracked. The interior has seat covers, but I looked underneath, and didn't notice any tears. As far as inside flaws, the sunroof manual crank is broken. The sunroof works just fine, it's just that the crank won't stay put (it works, just don't lose the crank!) Also, the release button for the parking brake flew off, and is no where to be found. It sitll works, you'll just need to go get a new release button. While I was removing the cylinder head, I accidently knocked off the resivor for the brakes. You'll need to either replace the master cylinder, or at least put some fluid in it and bleed them. They should work once bled; they were working before. The car has been sitting up for almost two years. Within that timeframe, mice have camped out underneth the hood, and have chewed up the wires that go to the cruise control. No other wires have been damaged. I would be willing to take more pictures and post them at your request. The car has over 400 dollars worth of new Kumho tires. I have a clear TX title in hand, and would be willing to tow the car up to a 300 mile radius from zip 76227 for an extra 100 dollars to cover the fuel expenses. At the time of auction's end, I'd like to have a 200 dollar deposit via paypal, and the remainder of the balance to be paid in cash upon the time of delivery. Thanks and good luck
