1950 Studebaker Champion Starlight Coupe Bullet Nose Up for sale is this piece of history with styling like no other. The car mechanically is all original. It has a 6-cylinder engine with 3-speed transmission on the column and overdrive that shifts great. It is still set up on a 6-volt electrical system and has a new battery. The car does not crank by pressing the clutch as it originally came, but has been converted to a push button start on the dash. The car runs smooth and does not overheat. It drives really well with the exception of the brakes which stuck with me recently while driving it, but freed up soon afterwards. It is probably something simple, but I have not looked into the problem. The brakes work well otherwise. The speedometer and all other gauges seem to work well. The wipers also work. The paint looks decent, but is not show quality. The interior was also redone sometime ago but is still in good shape. There is a little rust coming through on the floor pans out near the rocker panels only-all other areas of the floor pans are in good shape (see pictures) but metal has been added on the carpet side of them. The rust does not hurt the car structurally. The passenger side glass is cracked and there is a small crack in the windshield. The car looks and runs good, but would need to be restored to be a show car. The car is sold with a Bill of Sale only as Alabama does not title pre-1975 automobiles, but I will work with you to ensure you get a title if one is required in your state. Feel free to come and look at and drive the car if you wish. This is a great old car and is a lot of fun to drive and gets a lot of attention.
