Vehicle Detail

Up for auction a 1975 Honda CB750 Four in the rarely seen Planet Blue with an astonishing 2,791 original miles! This motorcycle is 100% stock and original. Garage stored it's entire life by the gentleman who purchased it new 05/15/75. Only driven for a short period at the beginning of each summer and then ritually put away. This bike is stock down to the mirrors. Not even a scuff on the rubber tipped hand levers. It still wears it's Honda factory equipped Bridgestone Super Speed tires that are not even checked. There can only be a handful of original machines like this left in the world. Sure there may be nicer restored CB750's. But the purchase of a bike and the cost a full restoration would far exceed the asking price of this factory original example. Put it in your living room or enjoy riding one of Soichiro Honda's greatest creations that feels a less than a year old. California blue plate, current California non-op and the original title that was issued in 1975. Things to know....... Inside of gas tank is as clean as the day it left the showroom! The chrome seat trim is still covered in the protective pull away film that the dealer would normally remove prior to delivery. Gauges are absolutly beautiful, clear, and have no fade I'm leaving it to the new owner to decide how he wants to address the usual clearcoat/aluminum failure. This typical issue is isolated to the outside of the valve cover, lower forks legs and engine side covers. Some would polish, others would refurbish these components to the factory finish look. Grips and rubber tip lever ends have no scuffs or scrapes. Again the tires are still the factory issue from 1975. They are not even check/crack nothing. If someone was going to actually began riding this bike seriously a new set of tire would be in order. These look near new but they are 35 years old. Everything works as it should..headlight, hi/low beam, horn, starter, turn signals, turn signal audio beeper, taillight, brake light etc. Brakes function as they should with no dragging. Front caliper has a small area paint issue. There is a factory manual was under the seat. The tool bag could not be located. I do have a mid 70s blue bag with tools that i will include. Nothing has been refreshed or refurbished on this bike. No new parts, no use parts, no painting etc. The only things new to this bike is the battery and some fresh air in the tires. Again this not a restored machine. It is however a very nice factory original. It was garage stored it's entire life but is not brand new mint like a day old restoration. The chrome shines with a bright luster but if you get your nose down on certain area's there will be imperfections from age. Also spokes and nipples suffered a bit. A spoke re-lace would really make the bike pop. There is still a of bit light detailing to do in some of the tight corners and recesses. Lots of yellow torque check paint remains on the nuts and bolts. There is only one small paint/decal issue on the tank. It's not a dent or really a deep scratch. Someone somewhere along the line rubbed and smudged the lower edge of the left decal (see pic) You don't really notice it a lot hanging around the bike as it's kinda out of the line of sight but must be mentioned. Somwhere along the line the original owner had an old fuel from last season in the carbs issue. Rather than clean them out he purchased another set from a running bike and installed them. I have the original set that looks brand new. I actually thought they were brand new when i first saw them. But upon inspection could smell a very faint odor of petrol. They could possibly only have a matter of a few hundred of miles since the bike itself currently only has 2,792 itself. They are of course included in the auction. (see pic) The bike itself runs very well of course. I was told it never sat idle for more than a year. All i had to do was add fresh gas and she started right up. I don't even know if this bike has even had it's first service. I have put a mile and a half on it myself. If there was one word to describe riding this bike it would be "smooth" If someone was going to ride and enjoy it rather than storing and displaying a basic service should be done. (oil, plugs and adjustments). I have been trying to find a CB750 like this for a couple decades. But it's the right bike at the wrong time. I told my wife "this is the last keeper motorcycle" like 6 bikes ago plus recently aquired 66' Bonneville is showing up next week. The winning bidder or buy it now buyer will be very happy with this motorcycle. It will be like traveling back to the summer of 1976 and taking your recent purchase of a year old CB750 for a ride. I have ridden dozens of CB750's. And none of them feel like this fella's. I am a die-hard British guy who always apreciated the old CB's but could never understand the CB750 hype till i rode this bike. In excellent condition they are truly beautiful machines. Just think about the fact that this bike is 2,792 miles from new. After 35 years it's almost ready for it's 6 month/3,000 mile service! lt's barely broken in and has only seen approx 79 miles a year thus far. You could literally own and ride this bike for the next 40 years plus! Cheaper than the purchase of a used bike with more miles and an intended restoration. Paying a couple grand for a bike and writing a check for around 10,000 plus, and then saying goodbye to your bike for a year is not exactly immediate gratifaction. You could be enjoying this bike, this summer in just a matter of days! Please feel free to ask questions. We are fellow enthusiast and happy to talk to you! You can call me directly at (925)594-1917 to discuss this motorcycle. Buyer of course is responsible for pick up and or shipping arrangments. We reserve the right to end the auction as it is for sale locally. More than happy to store for the winning bidder. Two weeks, two months doesn't matter. All i ask for is prompt payment. Zero feedback bidders and those with negative feedback check with me prior to bidding. Bid fast and often as this bike will be sold! Please bid with confidence (see feedback) Paypal fine for full payment. Good luck and happy bidding! On Jul-12-10 at 01:14:11 PDT, seller added the following information: Again, I have the actual original California title for this motorcycle that was issued June 6, 1975 The original owner passed away some time ago. His wife of 30 years signed the title (example) Susan Smith for John Smith. There is also a completed and signed bill of sale stating the owner on title is deceased. The bike is also under a current non-opp (No California back fees or penalties) Thanks for all the great questions and bids thus far. Good luck to all!On Jul-12-10 at 20:49:21 PDT, seller added the following information: Rode the bike this afternoon to the corner gas station for a fill up of supreme. She rode perfect and is an absolute joy to ride. Gas station is approx 3/4 of mile away so odometer is now 2,793. As tempting as she is thats were the odometer will remain for the winning bidder. She's resting in the garage covered awaiting her new owner. Thanks to all for the questions and compliments on the bike. Again, feel free to call me anytime (925)594-1917 Good luck!On Jul-14-10 at 16:42:44 PDT, seller added the following information: Speedo and odometer are perfect. There is no fade. What you see in the pic on the tach is probably from my cheap camera. There is NO fade in the large redline area. It is all one color. Almost down to the last 24 hrs. Thanks and good luck to all!
