1996 S-10 Blazer 4 x 4 Time to downsize. I am off on medical leave and have no need to have two vehicles when we hardly ever leave town so it is time, unfortunately we have to let the Blazer go. It is the Vortec V-6 with an automatic transmission and shift on the fly 4 wheel drive which is great when you need it. The truck gets between 16 and 20 MPG highway depending on how hard your push it and how much lead is in your foot. I typically get about 20 and my wife, around 16. The mileage has been entirely road mileage and not the stop and go traffic jam type so the motor its self is in good shape. The 4 wheel drive is strong and works great in both high and low range. Transmission is due for a flush and fluid change and I would also recommend doing the same for the cooling system because it is just a good idea when purchasing a used vehicle. It is also time for an oil change, but again that is common sense. Just had the thermostat changed so that portion should be good, the old one was sticking so it was changed right before we parked it. The rubber on it is good on both the front and back and the spare as well. There is also a Chrome push bar mounted on the front where you can push vehicles or ward off the occasional deer and that has tabs for mounting fog lights or off road lights to it. It has a Pioneer AM/FM CD which is obviously not stock but it rocks. The truck also has a like new Class IV receiver style hitch and I will throw in the ball assembly as well so you will be ready to go once you need it. It is also wired and has the 4 pin standard wiring kit (both were professionally installed). The interior shows it's age. Still very useable but remember it is 14 years old so it is going to show a little wear and tear. There are no major leaks and the truck doesn't use oil to any noticable amount.
