If you have, you know that even if you started with a free truck with no rust it would cost you $50,000.00 to do to it what this truck has had done to it. It was built by one the best builders in the US, right here in Idaho. There is not a single nut or bolt that wasn't replaced on this truck. WOW this is a beauty !!! All the chrome is brand new or has been re-done !! I think the whole bed is brand new because I just don’t know how you would make an old bed look this good without spending $15,000 on it. The only non-steel part of the truck is the "smoothie" running boards and boy do they look COOL !! The bed wood (Red Oak) is new and beautiful as are the Chrome steel runners in the bed, Stainless steel bed hardware and the hardware mounting the bed to the frame which is all new. The tailgate trunions are new or re-chromed, the Billet taillight housings and lenses are new, the Bow tie tailgate is new and it has a hidden latches on the insides of the bed !! The paint on this truck is a STUNNING SHOW QUALITY JOB in intense Orange and it is EYE POPPING BEAUTIFUL for sure !!. I just can't say enough about what a great job was done on this truck. The front end of this truck has a Camaro front clip with power steering, new sway bar with energy suspension bushings and disc brakes. It drives down the road straight and handles like a sports car. It has a custom aluminum fuel cell and remote battery lugs mounted on the rear passenger side frame. The chrome grill, bumper and headlight trim is all brand new or has been re-chromed and the emblems were re-painted to match the body color. The attention to detail on the truck is FANTASTIC. THIS IS A HIGH QAULITY TRUCK !! Check out the chrome headlight eyebrows they look realy cool. All the fender bolts are new. The wiring is new. It has a new tilt steering column with a new Billet Specialties Leather half wrap steering wheel, that matches the Billet Specialties Wheels. New Billet Shifter, turn signal, and tilt lever. It has new Vintage Air A/C and Heater. The front windshield rubber is new, the cowl to hood rubber is new, the door window channel and fuzzes are new, the wing windows have new rubber, the bump stops for the hood are new etc... The windows roll up and down perfectly with no effort at all. The dual Billet exterior mirrors are new. It has a Pioneer AM/FM CD player in the glove box with the speakers behind the chrome dash grill. This is better than a new truck, nobody built a truck this nice in 1948 !! I drove this truck for a couple of days in town and on the freeway and I have to tell you it was a joy to drive. The gears were plenty tall for the freeway and it cruised along at 70 MPH with plenty of power to spare to say the least. Have you been looking to restore a 1948 CHEVY 5-WINDOW SHOW TRUCK ? If you have, you know that even if you started with a free truck with no rust it would cost you $50,000.00 to do to it what this truck has had done to it. It was built by one the best builders in the US, right here in Idaho. There is not a single nut or bolt that wasn't replaced on this truck. WOW this is a beauty !!! All the chrome is brand new or has been re-done !! I think the whole bed is brand new because I just don’t know how you would make an old bed look this good without spending $15,000 on it. The only non-steel part of the truck is the "smoothie" running boards and boy do they look COOL !! The bed wood (Red Oak) is new and beautiful as are the Chrome steel runners in the bed, Stainless steel bed hardware and the hardware mounting the bed to the frame which is all new. The tailgate trunions are new or re-chromed, the Billet taillight housings and lenses are new, the Bow tie tailgate is new and it has a hidden latches on the insides of the bed !! The paint on this truck is a STUNNING SHOW QUALITY JOB in intense Orange and it is EYE POPPING BEAUTIFUL for sure !!. I just can't say enough about what a great job was done on this truck. The front end of this truck has a Camaro front clip with power steering, new sway bar with energy suspension bushings and disc brakes. It drives down the road straight and handles like a sports car. It has a custom aluminum fuel cell and remote battery lugs mounted on the rear passenger side frame. The chrome grill, bumper and headlight trim is all brand new or has been re-chromed and the emblems were re-painted to match the body color. The attention to detail on the truck is FANTASTIC. THIS IS A HIGH QAULITY TRUCK !! Check out the chrome headlight eyebrows they look realy cool. All the fender bolts are new. The wiring is new. It has a new tilt steering column with a new Billet Specialties Leather half wrap steering wheel, that matches the Billet Specialties Wheels. New Billet Shifter, turn signal, and tilt lever. It has new Vintage Air A/C and Heater. The front windshield rubber is new, the cowl to hood rubber is new, the door window channel and fuzzes are new, the wing windows have new rubber, the bump stops for the hood are new etc... The windows roll up and down perfectly with no effort at all. The dual Billet exterior mirrors are new. It has a Pioneer AM/FM CD player in the glove box with the speakers behind the chrome dash grill. This is better than a new truck, nobody built a truck this nice in 1948 !! This truck has a "GROUND POUNDING" 454 CID Big Block motor that has been bored .030 over, Edelbrock RPM cam and lifters, Pete Jackson Gear Drive, new oil pump, rings, heads, Dual Quad tunnel ram intake, 500 CFM Edelbrock carbs with electric choke, Ball milled Billet Aluminum Air cleaner and Valve covers, K&N filter, Polished Water pump and pulleys, Chrome A/C Compressor, Unilite distributor conversion, Dyno Max Headers and exhaust, Northern Aluminum High flow Radiator, Dual 12" cooling fans with thermostatic control, Re-built TH400 3-speed Automatic transmission with aluminum pan, Locar electric kickdown and dipstick, 3.73 Posi 10 bolt rear end. Tire smoking power that sounds great too with the "throaty" Dyno Max dual exhaust system. This truck is such a fun driver !!! I drove this truck for a couple of days in town and on the freeway and I have to tell you it was a joy to drive. The gears were plenty tall for the freeway and it cruised along at 70 MPH with plenty of power to spare to say the least. It drove tight and didn't wander or pull to one side even when applying the brakes. This vehicle is in FANTASTIC condition from top to bottom and from front to back. The Intense Orange finish on this vehicle is a STUNNING - EYE POPPING BEAUTIFUL paint job with the custom rear roll pan and Billet taillights and Bow tie tailgate with hidden hinges, what a work of art, UNBELIEVABLE !! The Tan and Orange interior with beige accents is BEAUTIFUL, what a GORGEOUS color combination !! How could you get any better !!? Brand new Billet Specialties Wheels 17 X 9" on back and 16 X 7" on the front with Performance steel belted radial tires give it that sporty Custom muscle car look, and check-out the "TUFF TRUCK" Stance, WOW!!! I looked underneath and it is as nice underneath as it is on top ! The whole frame and suspension was unassembled and powder coated Orange to match the body and Everything was replaced including new Energy suspension bushings, new tie rod ends, Ball Joints, Even the Leaf springs are orange. It also has New 3/8" fuel line, all new brake lines, new Power Master CYLINDER - EVERYTHING IS NEW and with the adjustable coil over shocks it rides like a dream. (see included photos below). This truck has been taken apart and put back together 1220 MILES ago !! I have never said "no rust" on any of my auctions for the last ten years but there is NO RUST on this truck !!
