Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 1954 F1 Ford hot rod pickup truck Serial number F10V4L10345 I bought this off Ebay a few years ago with the intent of finishing it into a nice street rod. I don’t have the time or money to finish it, even though it doesn’t need very much to have it ready for the road. I had planned on removing the dual 4-barrel setup and installing one carb for fuel economy purposes, but I never got to it. Previous owner told me that the engine was rebuilt by a speed shop in the Fort Lauderdale area and there is less than 700 miles of run time on it. Engine runs strong, transmission feels like it has a shift kit, and the rear axle is definitely a Ford 9” posi-traction. The original grille is with it, but I would not use it. The original grille has a lot of rust on it. Aftermarket replacements are available. It needs the grille, headlights, and front directional lights. It will also need either an electric choke or a manual choke cable installed. The body is in fair condition, but will need some attention if you plan on showing it. It will work now as a rat rod, but it is worthy of a little more work. Some of the fiberglass is cracking, and the left running board is a little loose. There is some rust showing at the windshield and by the kick panels. The bed needs to be refinished, however all I was planning on doing was to tape off the metal, and just paint the boards. They are in fairly good shape and wouldn’t need replacing for everyday use. The exterior door handles are sort of odd. They have a push button and a pull-up handle. You hold the button in while pulling on the handle to open the doors. The left side door will need a little attention because the hold mechanism for the lock came off inside the door and I have not removed the panels to re-attach it. There are no locks on the doors….. my intent was to replace the existing handles with remote controlled poppers. The interior has brushed aluminum standard handles. The electric windows work ok. There is a fiberglass snorkel on the tilt front end that I had planned on cutting off and replacing with a fiberglass patch over the hole. This is personal preference only……I just don’t care for the way the snorkels look on any vehicle. With very minimal work, this will be a great truck to enjoy on cruise nights. Needs: front grill, headlights, front signals, minor body work, there is some rust showing around front window and by the kick panel, electric choke, or manual choke cable, and a new home. The truck is equipped with the following modifications already done: - 390 Ford engine, runs strong, less than 700 miles runtime - C-6 automatic transmission - 9” rear end, positraction, road gears - Offenhausen manifold with dual 4-barrel carbs - (2) Carter AFB comp series carbs - MSD Electronic ignition - Vintage-type AC system, R-34 compressor - Power steering - disc brakes(front) - Front clip subframed with an 80’s Granada (?) - Howe Aluminum radiator with elec. fan and engine fan - Leather bench seat with built-in arm rest - Phantom dash instruments - AutoGage trio under dash, oil, amp, water - Lokar street rod shifter - Nardi Torino custom Tilt steering wheel - Dual exhaust with Escalade-style chrome tips - All new, modern 12-volt wiring and fuse panel - Frenched tail lights - BF Goodrich tires P205/60R15 front, P275/60R15 rear - Chromed wheels with baby moon centers - Tilt fiberglass front end with snorkel - JVC AM FM stereo with JVC 200 W amp under seat - 4 JBL speakers - Electric windows - Embossed flamed interior door panels - Flat maroon/burgundy paint - Florida title and registration Add up all these parts and modifications and you will see what kind of value this is. The engine alone is worth the starting bid. What are you waiting for? Come and get it !! There is no local shipper available in this area. The closest one would probably be about 40 minutes from here, possibly in the Winter Haven or Lakeland area. I will assist in loading it with the shipper of your choice. I require a non-refundable deposit due within 24 hours of auction end by Paypal only. This vehicle is being sold as is and no-return. Please ask all questions upfront and I assure you complete and accurate answers. Please allow me appropriate time for response. I have a perfect feedback rating and I wish to keep it that way. I have bought and sold several vehicles on Ebay in the past 8 years and have never had a problem with any of them. Ebay cars I have bought or sold include: 54 Ford hotrod truck, 55 Chevy Pickup, 66 Mustang, 68 Barracuda, 69 Mustang, 70 Dodge Dart, 70 Road Runner, 72 Chevelle SS, 73 Mustang Convertible, 77 Corvette, 84 Mustang GT, 97 Mustang convertible, 2002 PT Cruiser. I am not now nor have I ever been a dealer. I used to own a welding repair shop and had a hobby of getting these old cars, playing with them for awhile, and then moving them on. Life issues have changed all that and I no longer have the time or money to invest in the hobby.
