Vehicle Detail
For sale is a 1963 Ford Fairlane, 2-door coupe, with 289 V8. I've owned this car since 2001. Since I've owned it I had a new paint job applied, which is white with a touch of blue pearl. You can see the blue in the sunlight. There are some small rust areas above the back fender areas. I will do everything I can to explain all I know to disclose about the car. The car was restored by a gentleman in Rusk Tx before I purchased it from a family member. It was originally a 6-cylinder and has since been installed the 289. The motor runs extremely well with no issues. It does however leak a small amount of oil and a small amount of transmission fluid. The transmission works fine with no issues. It needs a new battery at the moment and needs an inspection sticker. The registration is valid until January. The interior is not original and is in fair to good condition. Certainly not excellent or mint, but there are no tears in the seating upholstery. The carpet is pretty ragged and faded. She does leak a bit of water around certain areas of the windshield, back glass and doors. Not a lot, but it does leak some. I've replaced basic items such as water pump, cylenoid to starter, coil. It is manual steering and manual drum brakes. It currently has rally chrome wheels with pretty new tires. I have a set of vintage, but not sure if they are original, Ford hubcaps to go with it as well. Also, the mileage on the car is obviously not original since the motor is not the original motor. I have no idea how many miles it has. I used it as a Sunday driver from 2001 to 2008. The last two years it has seen almost no road time. But I have routinely cranked it and taken it for a spin just so that it doesn't sit too long. Again, I will be happy to answer any questions to the best of my knowledge. I have driven it from Dallas to East Tx, a 3 hour drive, back and forth probably about 6 or 7 times over the years. The 289 runs great, I don't know how else to put it. I've recently gone thru a divorce and simply need to get rid of it. I don't have the resources to continue with the project. I will only accept Cash or Money Order / Certified or Cashiers Check ONLY. NO PAYPAL. I will not ship the car, it is for local pick up only. Or you can arrange your own shipping.
