Vehicle Detail

Hi all, Here is my 1970 Datsun 521 Pickup 1600 4-Speed. This is the one everybody is looking for. It is a reliable daily driver that regularly gets 21-25 mpg. It is in good condition and I use it almost every day. On the weekends I make a 300 mile roundtrip and never have any problems. As you can see from the pics, and as you would expect from a 40 year old work vehicle, it does have some dents and dings and some rust. The windshield has a small crack but it doesn't affect visibility and it doesn't leak. The bed has seen the most use over the years and has the worst damage, but then again, that is what a truck is for, hauling things! No it is not a show truck, but it is reliable transportation that still looks pretty good. If you really want to trick it out, you could still be driving it while fixing it up... can't say that about every project vehicle here on Ebay! But I never bothered with that, hey, I get lots of thumbs up when I'm out and about in it. Over the last year or so I've done some work to it, including a new radiator, new rear brakes, new battery, a replacement motor (from a 73) with less than 80,000 miles on it, tune up, oil change, plus I added a header and new exhaust. Plus you'll get any of the spare parts I still have laying around here. (good cylinder head and 4-speed transmission) I bypassed the heater core when I put in the new motor but it doesn't leak and if you hooked it up this heater would kick out plenty of hot air. I don't know how many ways I can say this, it is a terrific runner and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere. Lately I've noticed that the transmission seems to be leaking a little bit. It doesn't affect the way it runs or drives, but I want anyone interested in this fine automobile to know about it's quirks. Local pick up is preferred, but I suppose I can ship it if you pay all the fees, of course you'd have to make all the arrangements. I am willing to deliver it with in reason for .50 cents a mile + gas. I'm also planning a roadtrip to Boston at the end of July, and could deliver it anywhere along I-90/I-94 for the aforementioned fee. If you have more questions you can ask me, I love to talk about this old Datsun truck. Clean title in my name and the tabs are good for the next year! Thanks for looking.
