Vehicle Detail
1971 SS EL Camino- Runs Perfect-Drives Perfect-Beautiful looking car-With the Build sheet I found under the carpet proving its a real SS model. There is no other way to prove a real SS model other then a build sheet for this year. There are gauges, badges etc but the build sheet proves it. This is the 350 SS model with a 350 Numbers matching engine, 350 transmission, Air Conditions that blows cold, Excellent power brakes with disc up front, Power steering, there is an 8-track player still in the car, I dont know if its the original one, I bought the car from the guy that owned it 23 years and he said it was, I have had the car about 8 years, I have had rebuilt; Brakes all new, Engine, Transmission, Blanced driveshaft, new u joints, rebuilt radiator, air condition system rebuilt, heater core new, dash re setnciled by just dashes, headliner new, seat re done, new carpet, new door panels, new mirrors, new weatherstripping, chrome almost all original and re chromed except one piece, Front and rear bumpers re chromed orginials, bumper gaurds original, hood pins are new, the front suspension was done, power steering, fuel pump, alternator, I have receipts in a book for all work completed include engine rebuild and transmission, brakes etc. The paint is Torch red with black stripes, there is no rust, its an original Calfornia car, Van Nuys California built, The rims are original rallys, the style that the car came with, I also have the sprare behind the back seat with the rally rim with the houndtooth cover, everything works, inside lights, blinkers etc, I have the stock SS steering wheel but i have a vinyl wheel on it now, there is a black fiberglass cover that goes over the top of the back, its in average shape. This El Camino is for cruising, car shows, etc, it has a nice sound with flow master mufflers and it can really move but, this is not a race car, its for cruising and showing and going fast if you want to, very easy to drive, gets tons of attention,. I am not desperate to sell, I dont have to sell, I want a new project thats it. If you have a Tin Woody or 95-96 Impala or Corvette or Porsche then let me know and we can work out a possible trade. I will be selling locally as well, If I get what I want then I will sell it, I know its a bad economy, I know there a lot of great deals out there, this isnt the great deal, its a fair deal, fair price, for a real SS El Camino that been rebuilt and has tons of receipts and verification to what has been done to it. Thanks for reading and good luck biddingOn Jul-03-10 at 09:11:34 PDT, seller added the following information: I have received e mails on a couple of things- 1- The clock in the gauge package is new and works I had it converted to electronic, the cruise control is there, however, I have never used it, REAL ss 350 models DO NOT have a cowl induction hood, ss emblems on the door panels do not come with the El Camino 350 SS, the front bumper guards, the hood pins are original, I am getting questions about the seat belt, this is the way they came with the harness type that you tuck up into the headliner, I have about 5,000 miles on the motor, I have the receipt- It does have a cam thats one step above stock, they call it a corvette cam no shaking just gives a little extra power, the transmission does have a shift kit and shifts perfect. Any other questions let me know-
